Looks like he went to the defence of a woman, merely by putting his body in the way, with his back to an agent who then doused them in spray, before dragging him to the ground and one guy opening up his magazine on him.

I doubt the murdered guy could even see very much with the amount of spray he took, more on the left side of his face.

Hamas fans have managed to get into Wormwood Scrubs tonight in our very normal country but the police aren’t shooting people on the high street quite yet so swings and roundabouts.

Bit confusing this.
Were they protesting about his right to starve himself to death?
I've no idea mate, I've not really followed the story. Just saw that notice on Twitter from the cops.

Although now you mention it, it does seem confusing as it prompts me to think about it (without any fact) and my thought process is starvation is a choice, unless we are talking about a third world country.

This latest ICE shooting may be even more damning for the Trump administration than the Renee Good one, if the details coming out now are accurate...

He had a gun (his legal right under their ****ed up outdated constitution) - but it appears at no time did he draw it...

Instead it was his phone in his hand as he was filming their actions

He then stepped in when they were pepper spraying a woman - his phone in one hand and his other arm outstretched towards them in a 'keep back' gesture ...

They then sprayed him and subsequently shot him ...

The spin is that 'he had a gun, was resisting arrest and the (multiple) ICE officers were in fear of their lives' ...

As I said - it's early days in terms of the details - but looks damning IMHO -

Trump seems to have put a bunch of trigger happy thugs on the streets with a licence to shoot at will, knowing the regime 'has their backs' and will defend even the indefensible...

If we were seeing these events in any other country, we'd likely be supportive of American intervention to force 'regime change'... the irony.

Ern posted up the video yesterday, from a new angle, it showed everything that happened. I note the video has now been taken down lol...I only noticed because I wondered why you were writing all that **** when it was clear for all to see in the video.

It's actually gone a stage further now, suggestion with video evidence, that he didn't draw his gun, they found the gun on his possession which he was legally allowed to do - took the gun off him, video of an ICE agent walking away with it, then shot him.

The good thing is the media have already copied the video evidence, so no amount of fiddling by Musk is going to destroy it.

Here you go guys watch this, put the sound on, listen for the gun shots, and you will see the ICE agent walking away with the gun in his hand ie he was disarmed when shot...not an official media copy, but it better syncs sound and video evidence...

It's the excuses that leave the particular bad taste...

'He approached the officers with a gun... '
In a country where you can carry guns legally ...

'He reacted violently...'
He'd been pepper sprayed and they continued spraying ... who wouldn't have 'reacted violently'...

'The officers were in fear of their lives... '
Six or so armed guys were worried that a guy holding his phone and with his arm around and protecting a woman, was intent on killing them all...

The other thing I've not seen mentioned is that one of the ICE guys repeatedly pistol whips him whilst he's being held down ... ****ing appalling...

Why go to a protest against ice with a loaded gun? Legal or not it’s asking for trouble. We all know their reputation.

Yet again an avoidable death

I don't disagree with you, however, being someone from a nation that does not allow us to carry guns, I do find it a bit mental that a civilian is approaching an armed agent/cop with a gun, even if concealed, even if entitled, the dangers are obvious in doing so. Agents and cops are trigger happy because of it. The training is more or less shoot first and ask questions later, it's there life or your life. IMHO though he was killed in cold blood, because Trump has put a bunch of apes on the street. Personally after the American woman that got shot, doubt I'd even go anywhere near an ICE guy, that should have been the lesson then - but if they are taking away friends or neighbours you know, your own conscience is going to kick in and all anixety put on the back burner, leaving you vunerable to these animals.

I think that's a very valid question, especially knowing what happened to that woman. It's like playing a game of Russian roulette with them.

Get the point... but...

If you feel strongly enough about making your point / expressing your view... and you are a registered gun holder, why would you not take it? ... you already know these ****s can't be trusted ... there is a tipping point for people - different amongst each - but it's there...

Plenty of Iranians were well aware of the risks protesting against their regime - but had reached that point - nobody is saying 'should have known better' ...

For me, you just have to admire the courage and conviction of such people ... the alternative is to accept injustice and repression ...

All very well for me to say as a 66 year old sipping a cuppa in my cozy gaff, I know - but a younger me might have been somewhat more rad ... <laugh>
