Round my way houses having been going up constantly for at least 7 years and in big developments both in greenfield sites and old industrial sites plus loads of smaller developments filling in "gaps" in existing developed areas plus miracle of miracle on the site of knocked down old shops which has been derelict for years the local housing association is building nearly a hundred flats / homes.

    It certainly is.
Its unlike anywhere else I have ever been.
Most of the other big UK cities I have been to are Urban slums, dirty as **** and overcrowded.
Our road system here is the best in the country, maybe even the world, hardly ever any traffic jams in MK. The grid system means there are multiple ways to approach every part of the city so if there is an accident on one road, it doesnt effect traffic like it would say in London, Manchester, Birmingham or Bristol.
There are plenty of services but LOTS of greenery, parks, fields etc.
My favourite cities are on the South coast, but inland, MK is up there.

Only bad thing about MK in recent times is the rise in crime, particularly knife crime.....thats definitely an aspect of London I didnt want imported to my fair city, but it seems to be getting worse.
MK also had its share of drug problems in the 90's and early 00's which seem to be improving.
Homelessness has become an issue here in recent times, but thats happening all over the country anyway.

As predicted, it's announced as soon as the economy improves.

Thing is though it hasn't really, yeah ok interest rates are now 2.3%, but they showed the consumer price index compared with just three years ago, 2021, and things are now 20% more expensive.

There's probably a million reasons why it's actually not, but on paper it is and they're obviously hoping that will improve their vote share.

Its been predicted to be around July or late June for a while depending on economic forecasts looking better

I actually thought there was concern the Bank of England were going to put interest rates up, because the recovery was too quick, so Rishi thought fook this I'm bailing out now...

I doubt being PM was anything more than opportunism for him. Nice while it lasted but he won't be crying like Thatcher when he leaves.
