Le Pen was favourite to win the 2027 Presidential Election, but no one knows yet the length of period of the ban. Also arguing the democratic right being decided by a court, about her future presidency chance. If she only gets a one year ban, she can still stand, if it's 3-5 years she can't, awaiting verdict.

Edit: See update further on.

5 year ban from public office, so can't stand in 2027

4 year jail sentence, suspended for 2 years.

Edit: Sky News claim 4 years jail, 'of which 2 years will be suspended' - never heard of it done like that before, whatever it means...so had to google it and the Telegraph says this...

The National Rally (RN) chief was also handed a four-year prison sentence. However, two years will be served under house arrest with an electronic tag, while the other two are suspended. Le Pen was also given a 100,000 euro fine.

About 10 years ago my older brother paid £20 in a charity raffle, 2 prizes a Harley main prize, next 6 bottles of Jack Daniels, he won the Harley, £12,500 worth, he never even saw it, sold it for £10k, the bloke bought it off him and went and collected from the dealer

When I was in my late teens, a guy who lived a few doors down from me owned a Harley. He was a nice guy, who was always around to give some friendly advice about riding, which as a teenager is quite valuable even if only a small portion of the advice sinks in.

I was never going to allow my kids to have motorbikes, although they didn't know that lol - I just played it smart and drew their attention to cars instead. Really didn't help when the other halfs cousin showed off his motorbike to one of them once!...but I still succeeded in my goal.

I agree.

It involves a school, so if there are any direct threats to pupils or teachers, then they need to investigate it. I have to assume that the threat was such it required them to come into the station to explain themselves, and without knowing that extra detail it's hard to make a judgement on the response, that looked well ott.

Personally when I've ever dealt with schools, if I have a grievance with them, I go and sort it out face to face and did with my lads - I certainly don't want attention over it, it's my business and I certainly wouldn't be discussing it in a group of people, that you can clearly not trust.

Yeah this. They were arrested for harassment, malicious communications, causing problems on the school grounds etc. And they were warned by the police previous to this I believe.

Tbh if they are making threats and harassing staff then **** em, I'm glad the old bill have turned up and nicked them.

Can you imagine the furore if they'd rocked up at a school and stabbed a teacher. The same folk crying about the Police turning up and arresting them, would be outraged saying why didn't the police do anything seeing as they knew about them.

Going through it now with my lad, one of my best mates was killed at 17, hit by a drunk driver, wiped him straight out overtaking on a blind bend, wouldn't have ended well if he was in a car either but more of a chance, always been anti since, I was saving to get one myself but had no interest after that. I'm using, you've got no money and I'm not buying you one at the moment, hopefully it will hit home to him before he gets enough money saved.

The only thing I've ever won was a Mr Bump soft toy thing in a raffle in Betws-y-Coed back in around 1981

Just catching up on this

Suspended sentence usually just means you do it in a non custodial setting, i.e. you have to report to a probation officer and/or any other requirements that the court have place on you. And if you break any of it you'll end up doing bird.

Funny that she'll have to wear a tag, the ****in grifter.

I'm surprised that her party have embezzled funds, there must be plenty of right wing folk out there with money who would have donated to the party you would have thought ?

Anyway @Sucky what are your fascist fam saying about this on twitter ? Bet it's being presented as a stitch up lol.
