How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

I can see what he's doing, not taking responsibility for his crime and blaming migrants, but in the context it's been put up on here, it's not really banter Peej, but you've apologised and said it's the wrong link, accepted. Let's not drag this thread into the gutter please. And IF he really has harmed a child, I don't want his ugly fooking mug on this forum tbph, well not on this thread anyway - we have a crime thread.

As I said, posted the wrong link. Will happily delete the original, in fact it’s gone.

Been listening to a lot of bollox about SEND children by radio presenters who haven't a clue listening to parents giving misinformation.

Roughly 18% of children are registered as special needs. The vast majority are in mainstream schools. That's because their needs can be met in school. They ALL receive additional funding.

A small amount have significant difficulties and have an EHCP. And many of those can have their needs met in mainstream schools receiving further top up funding. Only a fraction of those are considered as needing a Special School. And only some of those special schools are private schools.

Labour are getting rid of VAT on private schools unless the child has an EHCP. No problem at all.

Then you have the other SEN children I mentioned, the vast majority whose needs can be met in mainstream schools, who still receive additional funding and a small number of those whose parents have chosen to put them in private schools even though it's not needed, crying about why they won't have the exemption. And they've been shouting the loudest without actually mentioning any of that.

The vast majority of SEN children are in mainstream state schools. Those schools are under-resourced and under staffed thanks to 14 years of Tory rule (like all public services) and that is what Labour need to improve first and foremost.

I feel sorry for this Lib Dem leader here. He’s really struggling. This isn’t a good look for them at all.

Look past the ‘daft chavy football fans’ and people might start getting it about this man. Imagine Rishi or Keir in a pub full of working class people connecting with them and being lauded over in this way…

Is it sinking in yet.

The Greens are NIMBYs Pinkie, only a NIMBY like yourself would not be able to see that.

What's their policy on Green energy lol? There really isn't one. They're even anti-nuclear energy when it's pretty much universally known as the best way to make the UK self reliant and Green.

Foreign Policy? Don't have one. Military? Don't have one. Middle East? Whatever Labour say, go the other way.

Your positive opinion on the Greens is the exact same reason that the average working class bloke likes Reform. Greens just appeal to ignorant middle class people.

I'm voting Green because it's my favourite colour ...

Only just catching up on todays news, hadn't realised there was another debate, although I was watching footie anyway.

It come on and I missed half the footy watching it. You know I detest the SNP but Sweeney come on and spoke well for them. Starmer was called out for his flip flopping and I turned over for the footy when Rish come strutting out. Couldn’t be bothered to listen to him.

I think it's done.

Ppl have heard enough and I don't think the debates make any difference.

Most know which way they're voting. The undecideds like me will probably end up going with their best guess or vote tactically.

The only parties seemingly benefitting from these debates are Reform and Lib Dems.

They're the only two seeing improved poll ratings.

No idea why the campaign is even so long btw, pointless.

Yeh just do the vote tomorrow. Another 2 weeks of this is going to be dull as fck.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's ever been such a dry GE campaign all round?

The result is pretty much known. It's really all about how much the tories get rinsed. Anything less than 150 is an absolute disaster. Talk of less than 100 is nonsense imo.

If people doubt this election is boring, just look at the French one now.

Les Republicans is in the middle of civil war, one faction controls the Facebook page and the other control the Twitter page. Entire politics in France has fell apart.

I've not paid any attention to that. I can only handle one GE at a time <laugh>
