How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

  • Total voters
    23
Galloway started the day at about 1.8 on Betfair and the Labour not Labour bloke around 2.3 and now that’s switched. Would be great bants if Galloway narrowly lost.

All Galloway did for months is walk about Rochdale saying Jews are ****s and gotta go. Sectarian nonsense from the 1920s basically and it won him a by-election in 2024.

This is the equivalent of Ben Shapiro winning a congressional seat.

If single issue mongs like the people of Rochdale spread, we may see Sunak hang onto the ****ing government through sheer blind dumb luck

Anyone see they guy in the flat cap standing behind Galloway, when he said 'Keir Starmer this is for Gaza' - looked like he walked off in disgust. <laugh>

Expect there will be plenty more ****housery to come in the run up to the GE.

71% white population in Rochdale.

yet Tice and co fail again

I imagine it's highly likely if not assured that Galloway will lose that seat come the next election

Probably fair to say he won’t get loads more votes in a GE with 65% turnout than this one with 40% and this was always going to be their big day out. Will the chicken shop lads bother voting again? Maybe. Will way more Labour, Tory and Reform voters turn out? Almost certainly. He got just under 16% of the electorate this time and realistically his ceiling isn’t much above 20.

Kind of interesting the independent did so well. If he runs again and does ok it could leave Labour, him and Galloway all quite close.

His biggest benefit was first and foremost that Labour stopped any support for their candidate who was essentially running as an independent himself.

So there were three major independent candidates and no Labour candidate.

The Labour candidacy vanishing left 40% of the vote up for grabs and it was cannibalized by Galloway and that local fella.

What an absolute load of hypocritical bollox spouted by Sunak tonight <laugh>

This is all about conflating and demonising the main organised Palestinian marches on Saturdays in central London as Islamists. Millions - black, white, asians, muslims, jews, atheists have marched over 5 months calling for a ceasefire. This is now extremism ffs <doh>

Ppl actually buy this bollox?

Time for the riot police and water cannons but I may be a tad biased. The IDF’s bombs of peace will soon end things and everyone can move on quietly forever and never discuss it again.

Just because you call for something or support a particular cause , does not mean you get it, that's how democracy works. It depends then on what threats and intimidation has followed as a result of you not getting what you want, and how other members of the community are made feel. I'd say threats on people's lives, flag shagging and firebombing for a cause could be deemed as extremism if it is targeted at people who disagree with you. I'm not a Jew in London thankfully, so I can't say how some might have been made to feel or fear. Tbph you do come across as a bit of an extremist at times.
