They'll do just enough to destroy the parliamentary Tory party at the next GE.

    Every cloud... <whistle>

The Tory's should focus on being the common sense right wingers and stop snooping to the level of the ****ing Reform and UKIPers of this world.

Instead they'll give their buddies another fiscal year with low taxes before they're wiped out at the next election

The irony is that Reform haven't really done much. They've way underperformed compared to UKIP in the by-elections of the mid-90's.

So the advisers in the Tory party who feel afraid of their voters going to them are largely wrong, except for the fact they're stoking the fringe that would otherwise vote for Tory but will defect to Reform.

They need to pull away from that strategy and go back to pragmatic one-nation toryism, although I have a feeling the lunatics have well and truly taken over the asylum, and it's just too late to do anything before a GE.

I remember you being a bit of an advocate for the Libdems. I've been giving thought to voting for them. The funny thing is in my constituency it's literally neck and neck between Tory & Labour and Libdems are nowhere. So given the swings I know Labour will win.

I suppose I'll just have to take pleasure from giving both the Tory and Labour candidates bare abuse when they come knocking.

Yeah, I'm a supporter of the Liberal party, they align with my opinion that in general the government doesn't need to be involved in so much of peoples private business.

The de-escalation of the drug war is a massive reason they should be considered alone. But people go for Labour, who I have almost never seen mention this glaring issue in British society.

I think a party with genuinely good ideas has been ripped apart by the media due to the failed ****ing coalition with the Tory's. Now it's the same old yadda yadda whenever the Liberals are mentioned and we have reverted right back to a two party nation with very few to almost no alternatives.

Like you said, Reform are a watered down UKIP.

    Its Labour Tory or bust.

Labour will stop these ridiculous tax cuts and cuts in public investment and that's important. That's in my opinion the absolute key reason the UK is facing recession.

The US has done the absolute opposite it's increased public investment and saw a complete opposite economic effect.

Tory's have absolutely lost any sense of how to run the country.

Just watching a news report on the development of AI and its use in fake news.

We've got at least two major elections happening in November (UK and US)

I can see the Ruskies and a few other dodgy folk going into overdrive with fake videos and misinformation bombarded all across social media.

I do agree with something Kemi said in Parliament today when arguing with an opposition MP, maybe you should get off twitter and listen to what I'm saying - maybe instead of just banning phones in schools, they should be banned when sitting in the house, especially after one MP was accused of looking at porn one time. All I ever see when looking at the commons on the news is MP's on looking at their phones ffs.

i thought the same when they announced the ban in schools because "they won't be able to concentrate" yet apparently you can make laws for the country while desperately posting on twitter -go figure

It will be Labour for me.
I abstained last time around as I couldnt in good conscience have voted for Corbyn, guy was well intentioned, but a bloomin maniac who would have ****ed this country up. I dread to think what would have happened during covid under Corbyn's labour.
There'd have probably been fewer parties at No. 10 <laugh> but other than that.....
Starmer seems a tad more sensible and restrained, yet without the glib smugness that Blair had.
As for the Tories, they can just **** right off.
Boris was the worst PM of my lifetime bar none, a lying, snakey, scruffy looking **** bag, who was far too self interested.
I come to expect a level of self interest in my MP's these days, it goes with the turf, but Boris took the ****ing cake.
Rishi is far too above his station, and it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth when literal billionaires who pay **** all tax are out telling blue collar citizens to "tighten their belts". In short, I dont want a billionaire PM.
The Tories have had long enough, and they've ****ed it, and now Labour are back to, somewhat, sensibleness, its time for them to have a go in the hot seat.

What was all that bollocks about last night? SNP are frothing despite our pointless vote for a ceasefire that’ll have no impact on a ceasefire.

Their big day was hijacked by Labour. They wanted to send a strong message to the world and Israel that they were standing with Palestine. A bit like the guys who sit down at train stations and outside council offices.

A big part of the SNP bill was the idea that 80 Labour MPs would rebel against the whip and vote for the SNPs amendment. Like last time.

Labour hijacking the day meant the SNP didn't get their headline.

All politics, means nothing for Gaza.

    Absolutely pointless.

I'll vote Lib Dem down here because it's a two way split between the Tories and Lib Dems. Labour aren't even in the race.

I happen to think the Lib Dems would make a good Govt, but there's no way they are winning enough seats

So it's tactical voting, simply to remove the Tories who have been the worst Govt in a generation.

If we ever get UK electoral reform it might be possible.
I'm all for it, absolute joke that parties like Sinn Fein and the SNP get a total of 4% of votes and hold what is it's 50 seats all together?

Parties with 10+% have either 0 seats or 14 <laugh>

    Only in the UK

Think there aren’t many countries left using FPTP. We’re bringing it in for the next London election to make Khan’s win less embarrassing for that nutter the Tories have running.

    Because it's a **** system.

Canada still uses it, but historically has always had a higher chance for third parties to gain ground.

Canada became a 3 party state when the Canadian Tories collapsed in the 1990s. By collapse, I mean they went from 156 seats to 2 seats.

I'd absolutely love the current Tory party to have that happen. We need a drastic shake up to the political system.
