I think there's an element of racism here.

That's a big shout swords and I expect you're going to have to back it up. Personally I highly doubt it seeing as most of us regard a Morroccan as a God and a Nigerian as a legend.

according to sky, it appears that NW may also be making Rowly and Cookie available with Peter Ramage offered a new contract (verbal offer).

I'm a bit suprised by the 8 released, some older dead wood in the squad
I would say that we have about 15 players still in our squad who are average championship players at best and probably about 15 who I think could make the step up.
Dont want to sound negative but I still think we need to sign about 6 players minimum.
Maybe i'm worrying a bit to much.

Doubt you're worrying much more than the rest of us Andy. Agree, we need at least capable of prem standards to give us the pace, movement and bite we're gonna need to survive up there... oops, sorry up here!

Sarcasm doesn't cover the screen well. Didn't want to call it upfront in fear of being wrong. You got me.

It's just my opinion on German. I've seen probably every one of his first team appearances and he doesn't look near good enough to me. Plenty of heart and running but low on quality I'm afraid. The goal he scored this season (League Cup vs Port Vale) didn't even cross the line from where I was watching. He's hardly impressed on loan in the lower leagues either.

Parker's a strange case. He's looked class at times but hasn't impressed on loan either and, from a few whispers from within the club, appears to have a bit of an attitude problem.

I sincerely hope they both go on to have great careers and I think, in Parker's case, it's very possible.

If this is serious then grow up. If it's a joke then it's not a great one.

Well for me, letting 8 players go at the close of the season is a very positive move.
It now shows the cosa nostra(swords) what the cupboard needs stocking up on, and warnie is shrewd enough for the job of cupboard filler.

Cheer up Watford, I was only kidding.

When is he going to get rid of the rest of the dross? I really hope the board are backing him to bring in plenty new signings.

    Fair enough mate.

The rest of the dross are under the ridiculous contracts they were put on when Paladini was given free rein to do what he wanted. 12k per week for Agyemang, 18k for Vine etc (all plus promotion bonuses) means the only way we can get rid is to give them free transfers and subsidise their wages.

I remember posting on another board at that time saying the length of contracts seemed crazy alright. In fairness some of them aren't "dross" exactly, just not Top Flight material. Nevertheless we're gonna have to shift them one way or another. Maybe subsidising their wages or paying them off and taking the hit is what we must do, Watford.
