It certainly wasn't meant as an insult. Christmas is largely seen as a general, all-purpose winter break now, I think.
I hate it for exactly that reason. In the Catholic religion it has relevance, to the masses these days it's a piss up and consumerism gone mad.
Thing is though Christmas wasn't exactly a Christian festival, it was an pagan festival incorporated to please the people. I know some Jehovas Witnesses and they don't do Christmas for this reason alone.
I know the origins pre Christianity mate, but the Christmas celebrations that we all know and are part of, has always been about the birth of Christ.
Ok let's dismiss the wum bravado and give this discussion the full monty it deserves.
Yes I understand what your faith is but why are you being so aggressive? I have no hatred of any religion and I'm sure you'll always respect your faith as I do mine. I'm not looking at scoring cheap points but interested in your belief whether traditional or westernised as there is a difference.
For your information ( in your words we all is human beings) and no I'm not desperate to beat you with anything. I asked you a perfectly honest question in as much as you have divulged earlier that you follow your religion in its essence but in islams true essence drug taking is taboo and punishable.
Don't get me wrong as an ex Christian I also flaunted the word of God but I was never going to be stoned or flogged for drug taking. As I see it the difference between the two religions is a transgression is met with penance in Christianity whereas in Islam the punishments are more draconian and brutal
It's clear you are a second or third generation Muslim which is watered down by westernism. Intrinsically I just wanted to know if this was the case because that way I can understand your apparent westernisation. I always have respected others religions but I don't come with the apparent mistrust you and other Muslims show when asked simple faith questions.

Correct Christmas is a commercial prostitution which as little to do with the birth of Christ as Hiag is to wit.
That's the reality in 2016 mate, which makes it nothing more than a load of grief that puts people into debt due to what they think they need to provide for their families at 'Christmas' due to the massive consumerism that's engulfed it, which is a million miles away from the original Christian message of the season.
People don't have to buy into the current crap, any more than they have to buy into the stuff about Jesus.

How would I know if he is a scouser? Most of their fan base is in Scandinavia.

My comment was that a lot of firms are still over generous with holidays at the Xmas period.
