I'm always dubious when it comes to signing players from what I would call minor countries. Sometimes it works, but ou never know, SB doesn't have a terrible record over the years with some players.

Bruce has gone on record as saying he is always dubious about signing players from foreign leagues.. they may come over for trials in the summer but I highly doubt this mid-season - a couple of Egyptians turning up in the english mid-season.. don't buy it.

Elmohammady came from ENPPI in Egypt. They are a country that produce some talent, Aboutrika and El Hadary are two examples of this (and Elmo of course). Gedo would be awesome, but I'd like to hear what the marketing manager actually said.
It was to twin the clubs with each other, we can trial some of their youngsters and they can use our advanced medical facilities when needed.
If we did bring them in now it would surely have to be loan with agreed fee at the end & option not to if they're ****e!

pointless getting an unproven striker at this stage of a season , a 3-4 game honeymoon period could all but kill off a promotion challenge
