When did I suggest that he was?
With Mata, Hazard, Marin and Ramires looking pretty likely starters, I don't think it's a stretch to say that there's not much room left in Chelsea's midfield.
I think that we'll see some more transfer activity in that area before the season starts, too.

With Lampard in the enforcer role <laugh>

Didn't Romeu leave Barca because of a lack of starts, Drogs?
If you continue to buy midfielders at the current rate, then he may consider his opportunities limited and look to leave.

Well I think he left because he was continually being played for the Barca B team, he's made a good handful of appearances this season and will next season aswell, his injury at Christmas time was the only reason he did't play for ages, don't see why or how he could complain.

It might depend upon who your manager is and any possible competition brought in for his place.
If you were to sign a replacement for Essien, then he could easily see that as a vote of no confidence.

It's s nice that Spurs fans are so concerned about our players and whether they'll get games but with Charity Shield,Super Cup,World Club,CHAMPIONS LEAGUE,Prem,FA Cup and League Cup I think there will be plenty games to go around. That's the way it is at a big club.

I think we've got enough in central midfield to be honest, it'll probably be rotated between Mikel, Romeu, Ramires and Lamps!

<wah> The nasty Spurs fans are discussing football! <wah>
Grow up.

You might be right Drogs, but if you start the season with a midfield of Marin, Mata, Ramires, Hazard and Mikel, then I think we'd probably all agree on the weak link.
Do you not expect a few more changes to your squad, too?

Charity Shield <laugh>. That'll keep your expensive reserves happy!

Not sure to be honest, maybe at right back and you could be right about Essien! Hulk looks like he's set to join aswell.

With Kalou and Drogba leaving, I wouldn't be surprised.
If Bosingwa and possibly Ferreira leave, then I'd definitely agree about the need for a right-back, even if it's not a first XI signing.

Hulk and Hazard would be the replacements for Kalou and Drogba, Marin is Malouda's and we have Hutchinson as Ivan's understudy. I heard we may sign Van Der Wiel who I wouldn't mind signing.

Sorry, you can't.
We're going to be negotiating for Vertonghen for every last second of the transfer window, so Ajax will have no time to discuss anything else.
That's how transfers work at Spurs, I'm afraid.
