first city with stupid wages then liverpool with 35mill for carroll now chelsea with 170k a week for 21 year old hazard and a 35mill price. what's next? - as a result of the spending, could we now be about to witness the decline of united for the first time in about 20 years, through no fault of their own? Obviously Hazard is unproven in the prem and so is Marin, but should they step up to the challenge, my god Chelsea could be lethal next season. potentially the 2 signings of the summer, already. - worrying.
And I suppose it leaves 'The Rat' with one less option. Can't believe Chelsea will go after Modric as well now.
One of the papers has mentioned, during a Belgium match, Hazard was seen outside a stadium eating a burger after being substituted. A potential Taarabt in the making?
bartering, as usual! OSS, I agree, i think modric is out of the question now too. RM looks like his only potential destination now. Should Chelsea actually go for him, they could have smallest midfield in the prem. Hazard - 5"7 1/2 Marin - 5"7 Modric - 5"8. Although a skilful midfield that would be very dangerous, physical presence does come into it to a certain extent!
I think that ship has sailed, can't see us going for him either and most Chelsea fans (like what we think matters!!) don't want him given the money he would cost. Realistically if we get Hazard we may be done big transfers wise but if not it'll possibly be a right back to replace Bosingwa and maybe a right winger (Hulk being mentioned). Modric is much more likely to go to United. Don't think Madrid would spend so much money on such an unmarketable player to be honest.
im so glad we havent got him...what an arsehole...honestly...for me winning at all costs is not a motto i carry close to my life...and that is one thing that has made our barren spell as Spurs fans bareable...that we dont let idiots play for us just for glory....as soon as i got to hear about this guy's personality..i knew he would end up t Chelsea...and i bet there are some idiots who will put his ways down to a winning mentality...not me....i wouldnt want my son looking up to this kunt as a player he admires...never been so happy to have 'missed' out on a player who is the next big thing apparently...just a shady, self centred human being if you ask me.
The worst thing about Hazard is that he has spent the last 6 months in the media talking up moves to clubs around the world like he was a free agent. He has shown total disrepect to lille and for that reason can now officially be known as a class A twat.
What's more disrespectful is that he carries himself like he was bigger than Lille, and then followed that up by saying Arsenal wouldn't be the best stage for him to perform on - as if Chelsea, with their long balls and bus parking, would be. As I said, he's potentially a Taarabt in the making, with one crucial difference: Taarabt cost £2m, which we (somehow) made back. Hazard cost £32m, and they'll be making a massive loss on that investment. Still, if they believe FFP rules don't apply to them, he'll be the poster boy for the nasty shock they get when UEFA slam the door on their European campaigns until they sort their balance sheet out.
Just another nail in the coffin for football...... Hasn't his agent asked for something like €6million for orchastrating this farce?
Don't see why Romeu would leave, Di Matteo did what he could with his strongest players to win the trophies we did, it wasn't really the appropriate time to play a young inexperienced lad like Romeu. As for Torres - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18242905
Didn't Romeu leave Barca because of a lack of starts, Drogs? If you continue to buy midfielders at the current rate, then he may consider his opportunities limited and look to leave.
When did I suggest that he was? With Mata, Hazard, Marin and Ramires looking pretty likely starters, I don't think it's a stretch to say that there's not much room left in Chelsea's midfield. I think that we'll see some more transfer activity in that area before the season starts, too.
