Manquillo out for 2 weeks. Go 5-3-2 ----------------Dubs -------Schar--Burn--Dumm Fraser---------------------------Targett -----Willock---Shelvey--Joelin -----------Wood-------ASM
Why would you change a system that's won 3 on the bounce? I get Krafth is ****e but 4 at the back is working fine
GK Dubs RB Bruno LB Targett CB Schar CB Burn CM Willock CM Shelvey CM Joelinton RW Fraser LW Max CF Wood Change as little as possible for me.
Because Krafth is THAT bad, too much of a weak link imo, it's worth changing the system to not have him in the team, Manquillo is a steady enough replacement, Krafth is not.
Who gives a **** he's quality My theory is: - He likes to get stuck in, understands pressing football and has attacking instincts - Trippier is the same. - He's a good footballer, and most good footballers can adapt - It gives him game time - It allows him to adapt to the pace out of the pace of centre midfield - He endears himself to his new teammates by doing something for the team - He's not Emil Krafth - He's not Jacob Murphy Either him or put big Joe there and put Bruno into midfield. Failing that Schar right back and put fist bumps back in. However I liked Burn and Schar, I want to see more. Not Krafth or Murphy. Please.
As you can see I've found a way to make that last chance saloon. I don't consider Krafth or Murphy serious options. I think Eddie will shoe horn Lascelles in and ask Schar to play right back. Being honest its probably what most managers would do and is the sensible option. But I think you're better off with Joe or Bruno filling in personally. Just from the attacking full back side of things which has been massive for us in changing mentality.
Well if its them or Krafth, I pick them. I'm not up for changing formation, its madness after the last 4 games. So I think the only viable options are Schar (I don't like playing Lascelles), Krafth (utter crap and will change the whole attacking dynamic), Murphy (total **** hawk), Bruno or Joe. Plus when I watched him for Lyon, he'd drop in to left or right back when their full backs went rampaging forward. Did I mention I don't want to watch Krafth or Murphy? Bruno, Bruno, Bruno!!!
I wish you'd stop sitting on the fence about Krafth and Murphy. We need to know whether or not you would play them with Tripps and Manq both out.
I like it anyway, because once Trips is fit you can say to Shelvey "Trippier has to come back in, he's a leader. Bruno has been class I can't drop him. You're bald. And you annoy me with your waving your arms around when there are runners, when really we all know you just can't be arsed. So on that basis you're on the bench Voldemort. Sit over there beside Captain Fist Bumps."
He'll be fine. He's a top player. He's also a good team man by all accounts from Lyon and Brazil. What's the other options? Switch formation? Terrible idea. Play Murphy or Krafth? Both ****e. Play Lascelles and move Schar out of position. Probably my second option but Burn and Schar looked really good. Team comes first for me. As soon as Tripps is fit, he's into midfield and Shelvey joins fist bumps on the bench.
As it should be. Trust to Howe, he’ll know where Krafth has struggled but there’s enough there to suggest we can still compete with West Ham. An earlier cameo from Bruno for Shelvey would be nice. Or a swap. But ultimately there’s no need to **** around too much irrespective of how limited Krafth is.
Don't say that man. I think he seems a genuine lad and I'm sure he's a nice guy. But by god our level dropped off the chart on the weekend when he entered the fray.
