My norwich mate is gutted hes gone. said he could still do a job for them and should be very solid for us. Im happy with the signing. Remember free doesnt always mean ****e- although it does alot of the time with us! <laugh>

Just to point out aswell with regards to people thinking it might be an indication of the takeover collapsing; the LUST chairman is on WACCOE and he seems pretty happy.

Well ****ing tell him to get over here and shed some light on what the ****s happening re takeover. I personally don't think there's anything like a takeover going on, but it would be nice to know one way or the other.

I'm gutted too. Not just because Drury's a Norwich legend, but because it's obvious he can still cut another year at premier league level, even if as a back-up and he's reliable as sunrise. One-on-one you'll see he's rarely beaten and he can still whip in a decent cross though he doesn't get forward as much. He's also a model pro. It must mean we have a left-back lined up, because our other (Tierney) has been injured most of the season, but a new player is always a risk so I would have preferred to keep him on.

He's a top man - reads the game well, has exceptional positional sense, is committed and has covered at CB for us in the past. I'm genuinely sad to see Adam leave us as I thought he'd be good for another year in the yellow and green.

He'll do a good job for you that's for sure.

Bit of a Freudian slip here Boab. Made a bit of a tit (or is it a bust?) of yourself by avoiding the 'bush' word. What's happened - has the wife shaved it off without your permission? <whistle>

Jings I'm always getting my "t's" and "h's" mixed up, I blame the education system and the position of the letters on a laptop keypad....;)

Warnock has stated that he had a couple of Bosmans lined up, Drury was obviously on that list. As has been said he is a leader, and that is invaluable. He is experienced, solid and reliable. The boy's a legend at Norwich and hardly a cast off, so I am really pleased with Warnock's two signings so far. Both are streets ahead of the dross we had, and I have no doubt we will be better off having two leaders in defence who are also consistent performers. Warnock likes reliable players, and if he keeps this quality up I'll be happy. Keep them coming Colin.

Before he lost his speed his one-on-one defending was up there with the best of 'em; unfortunately he's been skinned a few times in the last couple of years but his positioning is still top notch. I also don't think he ever got sent off for Norwich - in eleven years. I'm sad he's gone, and he'll do well for you, but I'm not sure he's quite Premier League ability any more.

You've still gained an extra follower for next year though - as long as you've got Drury, I'll be happy to see Leeds do well. <ok>

So far apart from Yalor (and we are not expecting him to run about much)
21 year old left back Scot Malone
25 year old midfielder Chris Taylor
22 year old midfielder Josh Wright

<cheers>
lots of league 1 joe average players there TC.should keep you bottom half championship or top half league 1.<whistle>
Chris taylor & Josh wright.<laugh>.Always played in the pockets of our team so you will need better if you want a point this season.:emoticon-0116-evilg

To be honest, I think he lost whatever pace he ever had a long time ago and still did good for us, so his age won't be a question. Perhaps the best tribute I could give him is that he is my favourite player ever!

Agreed. You can imagine what Colin will do if or when he gets a proper transfer budget. Please God, thats only days away

I'm happy with this signing. I'm not normally happy with signings and as much as I hate colin he has pulled off two good signings now. Once we get a RB the first-team defence will be set probably unless Colin thinks Lees can't cut it week-in week-out
