well, that's been covered quite wonderfully by M Frenchie. Research, research, research!

how charming you are. No, it doesn't put us on a different planet, but it puts us in a very unusual, new and exciting position and one that any other club, if they thought about it, and didn't make wild assumptions, would give their right arm for :). Pal? Hmm...

    You would have hoped so.

Alas the 'stone' part gave it away. The Septics have no concept of the stone as a measurement of weight.

And they still give me strange looks when I announce that I am popping out for a ***.

Hornette_TID - I really am a charming fellow, but one who will take to task puerile posts about my club. BTW, here's your puerile post to which I referred.

You clearly claim you are something special under the control of the "Pozzo family" and that you "feel sorry for you and your Malasian influence, and your redness!".

All I can add is that if you'd posted that on the Cardiff board, you'd have got a lot more than a little slap on the wrist.

No squabbles from me over football matters on the pitch (we've had plenty of rough times recently) - just leave the cheap club jibes to one side. <ok>

If you drop like a stone, doesn't that suggest you move down at least one place?

But if you stay in the same position you need to change it to maintaining the same level like a branch of a strong tree. Something along those lines anyway...

If they get caught won't they have red faces...and shirts...

By the way you don't get any bluebirds in Wales or the UK for that matter, but then again you don't get any dragons either...having said that i've seen the women on a night out in Wales...

"It means as much or as little as our new ownership circumstances, except we haven't imported half of ****ing Malaysia playing for us." - Do Malaysians play football?

Let's be realistic about this. Nothing lasts for ever. We've had enough rough spells to want to savour a good one when it comes along. The signs look promising, but if we'd had new owners and struggled at the foot of the table no doubt all our perceptions would have been different. As it is, I plan to enjoy it while it lasts and hope that it continues...

Insults and jibes I find a waste of energy. Let the football on the field do the talking...

That's what Long John Baldry said, and look what happened to poor young Reg Dwight.

Byddwn yn dyfalu mae pwysau ychydig yn llai ar Gaerdydd yn awr wrth i ni golli ar ddydd Sadwrn, ond sut bynnag yr ydych yn torri'r gacen ni yw'r tîm ar y brig yn ein cornel y genedl, ond bydd Caerdydd bob amser yn cael i chwarae ail CPD Dinas Abertawe.

The automatic places should be more clearer after the Easter programme.

Perhaps Cardiff fans would like to use a few recent FACTS to see who could be described as dropping like a stone.

Cardiff have 1 point to our zero for the last game
Cardiff have 2 points to our 3 for the last two games
Cardiff have 2 points to our 4 for the last three games
Cardiff have 5 points to our 7 for the last four games
Cardiff have 5 points to our 10 for the last five games
Cardiff have 8 points to our 13 for the last six games

hmmm - so unless you look at only the last single game we better Cardiff each time - so if we are dropping like a stone they must be dropping like a mountain

If you are doing better than us the table is wrong and you should be above us?

The competition is with the top four, all four have the same chance now as we cannot give ourselves points we have not got.

The last post I have for the Palace board is the 29th jan so no idea where they are waiting to ambush the top three?

We hope each other lose to make it easier for ourselves but it isn`t easier anyway is it?

jck, I like your posts. I think that there will be a few surprises before the season is out, but I have no idea what they will be.

Doing better than you recently (or perhaps quite a while) does not suggest that we should be above you in the league. It merely points out that our form is better and we have been gaining on you. Therefore you have DROPPED a lot more points than we have and if you're not nervous about the three teams catching up on you then you should be!!

So then, your good recent form compared to ours, how's that working out for you?

Fair play to Cardiff, they pretty much have 1st place wrapped up now and must have loved seeing all the teams around them drop points.

We really need to stop the rot and focus on 2nd place now, just hope Brighton do a job on Palace tomorrow and help us out a bit.

    1st Cardiff 37 22 75

    3rd Watford 38 24 66

Not as sad as you lot 9points behind and played 1 more game, you must be very sad.

That is the trouble when you get dumb threads like this. In general both Cardiff and Watford fans are ecstatic to be where they are right at this point. We did not think we would be in the position we are in now at the start of the season, that's for sure.

Also, personally I don't really care which clubs go up with us, as long as we go up. Right now, Cardiff supporters want to see the challengers around us lose in the same way as any other club supporters.

The comment made about Watford passing us on the table were made in a state of euphoria, as is this thread.

Best to worry about the games on the pitch because both Cardiff and Watford have a lot more work to do before any celebrations can be made.
