Bollocks, you are most certainly under pressure. The rules will change and most of your udinese guys will go. You will then have to pay big bucks for new players.

You may be over 18, but your knowledge and understanding of the set up here is woefully lacking. Before posting I would suggest that you check out your facts as it just makes you seem rather foolish.
 
Pressure is wonderful. Our normal pressure was how to avoid relegation, any other thing better is a present. We have no expectation of anything as we have so many new things happening and not very much money.

I would be worried if I were a fan of either of the blue teams, I apologise one is now red because blue doesn't go with the owners wish, and the money they have spent. And why stick with Malkey Mackay when you could have bought the really successful Brendon Rodgers from Swansea City.

Look guys - this is a windup thread started by one of our own for a laugh. Take it for what it is without getting into meltdown. Not interested in the taunts, they're 10 a penny - only the football matters, but some of the stuff posted is laughable.

Hornette_TID - that's about as puerile a post as I've seen on here and flies in the face of reality.

"We are in the Pozzo family now" - is that supposed to put you on a different planet to the rest of us? It means as much or as little as our new ownership circumstances, except we haven't imported half of ****ing Malaysia playing for us. Italian owners, Itallian manager and imported players on the pitch. Give it up pal, or you'll fall off that self righteous pedestal with a bump.

Our club may be owned by Malaysians, but with Scottish led British managment team, a side packed with Welsh, Scottish and English players with a couple of Icelanders thrown in, we're doing the business thank you.

No moral high ground being taken about it across here though pal, just acceptance of the facts of life in football these days - sad as much of it is.

You keep throwing up the colour change (so what?), the "potential" name change (wont happen) and the debt (much existed before they arrived), all of which masks as good an example of foreign funded yet home homegrown success as you'll find.

Best of luck in the run in - if you do catch us you'll have done very well and you'll have earned it, because wishfull thinking certainly wont do it for you. <ok>
 
With Heiðar and Aron Einar (who we do not like so much because he played with Þór) at Cardiff City they need to be watched from my position because of that.

From a general Watford view there is Tommy Smith and Don Cowie as well.

Not quite what we were hoping for! But droppping like a stone is a bit strong. (I think many of us thought blackpool would be a hard-fought but well-deserved 3 points. I did. Not getting 3 penalties didn't help!) Ignoring the match evidence, which I'm bound to do following my results evidence, it looks like we shall get 84 points, based on 10 match trend and 5 match trend. Cardiff will gey 90/91 (10 match trend) or 86 (5 match trend). Either way, we shall definitely overtake Cardiff, but we might have to extend the season, by a few games. A bit like Fergie time at the end of a game.

If trends are anything to go by, we should be worried about Forest - won their last 5! could also finish with 84.
Onse thing that BBC picked up on though, is that had season started on 1st Jan, WFC would be 4 points clear at the top. Now on thart basis.... oh forget it.

Anyway, we will revisit all this ad infinitum no doubt.

What do you think might happen if, at the last game of the season, WFC have 2 points less than Hull & cardiff, and an inferior goal difference ?

That rather depends upon how inferior the goal differences are - not to mention the fact that, assuming Hull win their game in hand & go two points ahead of us, the status quo will have to remain in terms of wins/losses/draws over the final eight matches, making it nigh on impossible for them to make up the current 15 goal lead we have over them.

You're probably right with your implication of collusion between the two though. ;)

Although I admit, I am pretty downbeat at having dropped from second, five points off the top, to second, five points off the top.
 
Jesus do you want promotion or not? Cardiff are the least of your worries. We dont care who is second or if they overtake us and we get second.

All we are saying is give peace a chance.

It is down to winning our own games now, it is the run in and no time to worry about each other.

If we get the auto spots with you then we will be more than happy for you too.

The teams below you are trying to stab you in the back not us.

In fairness to most of the clubs around us, Leicester and Hull are more worried about winning their own matches, and Cardiff's problems are internal: keep their heads, they win the league, don't, and another team will. At this point I doubt Cardiff care whether that other team is Watford or someone else, they simply don't want to give anyone the opportunity.

It's only Palace, or more specifically their manager, who have made any attempt to stab us in the back.

Actually I am 54 and probably know a little bit more about football than you. However, you are right, I only know that Watford have loaned half of Italy. Therefore, could you please answer the following for me so I have complete understanding of your situation:
1) If you get promoted, will Watford buy the loanees. I would assume you will buy them at next to nothing due to your owners owning both clubs.
2) If you don't go up, will you buy the same loanees (due to the FL changing the rules of number of foreign loanees from 1 club.

1) No - we won't be buying them as they are actually already ours to keep if we want to, and they are willing to stay;

2) No - see 1).

By the way, the issue that other managers have with our 'overseas' loanees (I use that term because one of them is actually not foreign, he is as British as you probably are) is not that they are from one club - they are actually from three clubs - but is more to do with the FL viewing them as transfers rather than loans. If the FL decide to change their rules regarding European transfers, then the only clubs who will be affected are the other 91 in the EPL/FL who will not be allowed to take advantage in the way that we have - and that we could do again during the summer before any decision is made to alter the rules. And you may well be right - if the rules are changed, we could still have access to new players through the simple expedient of buying them for the price of a bag of pasta. ;)

I am rather more than 54 and have seen a lot more football than you have. So that wasn't a good start was it!

How many Italians do you think we have? Do some research and find out and when you have you can post your answer here.

From the start it has been stated that any loanee that we wish to sign can be offered a contract to stay with us.

The FL have announced that they will discuss the loan rules in the summer. Nothing has been decided, so your question starts from the wrong point.

It would be appreciated if you could do your research then come back with a reasoned response.

Tip for the future: early 20s was probably your best shot.

But to answer your questions.

1) If we go up, even Vydra and Abdi would sign. Udinese won't get into Europe next year, while money wise there is hardly anything between a mid table Serie A side and a newly-promoted Premier League outfit. The difference between the divisions is that in England you have 36 high profile games a season (plus two against Wigan), compared to a dozen or so in Italy.
2) If we don't go up, we would probably buy Ekstrand, Anya, Battocchio and Pudil. Cassetti is hard to call because of his age and the fact that he has a young family back in Italy. It's hard to see Vydra and Abdi signing permanently if we don't do it, because they could clearly walk into eight or ten Premier League teams.
