The Bundesliga is woeful these days. Most half decent championship sides would give most of them a game or even beat them comfortably. Including the likes of Dortmund, Leipzig and Leverkusen, three of last year's top 4
Hull City playing in Europe XI Mcgregor Ranochia Maguire Robertosn Bowen Anyone else? Tomori's AC Milan went out in the group stage
Considering 2nd place has been stuffed tonight by what is effectively a top 6 Championship side it's not that outlandish is it?
Yeah. Just have a look at some of the players at the teams you mentioned. Rafael Guerrero, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Giovanni Reyna, Axel Witsel, Marco Reus at Dortmund. Charles Aranguiz, Jonathan Tah, Patrick Schick, Mitchell Bakker at Leverkusen. Yussef Poulsen, Christopher Nkunku, Emil Forsberg, Dani Olmo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Andre Silva at Leipzig. Don't get me wrong, it's not as strong as the Premier League, but those three teams would tan most of our Premier League sides, never mind the Championship.
Fair enough. I am a fan of German football but they don't come anywhere near their potential in Europe considering the talent they have. Always a lot of naivity at play Not sure what the answer is for them
I think the issue is that the smaller teams in the division don't act as a tough enough opposition. So the likes of Augsberg, Eintracht etc aren't decent enough competition and offer them false hope. Don't get me wrong, they're good teams, but it's not like the Premier League or La Liga where anybody can beat anyone.
Missed it. I've been watching the manager of the England Women's team completely **** up her substitutions and panic her way into gifting Canada a draw.
