There were some Steampunk Morris dancers at a festival .. you would have liked them .. very different
Years ago, during a self-catering holiday down in Cornwall at Mevagissey, we were in a second floor flat above a pub by the harbour, and heard loud music from outside. There were a group of Morris Dancers down below who had obviously been imbibing some beer in the pub, and when I opened the window to listen to them, one of the dancers called out for a "charitable contribution". It was bucketing down with rain, so I chucked a 50p coin out of the window, which unfortunately landed on the head of one of the dancers !! He was alright luckily, but my kids thought it was hilarious at the time that they carried on dancing, without batting an eyelid.
