Yes, even in our current predicament we are still a Premiership football club. We'll get sponsored, hopefully by a better company than Tombola or Boylesports! (if the rumours are true)

lone star funds, wasn't that the company who mr short got arrested for, for dodgy dealing with taking over the korean bank.

charge were eventually dropped but it took years.

why not someone like tesco, a huge company and are spread world-wide...

Not a good idea. Next time someone wants to nick one of our players a la B£nt, they'd expect another one free.
 
Get back to the Scorpion sponsor I know it was Vaux but, the shirts were great with the logo on better than any gambling/bingo company.
 
Why the **** are the team in panic? don't know what the deal was for but it sure as hell wasn't for the numbers such as Man U or Liverpool are getting and even if we did lose them it's not going to fold the club.

Maybe it's just an image thing. How would it look to other teams and other players if a Premier League level club can't find a sponsor for their shirt?

Anyway, costs are costs and the clubs a business. The sponsor deal will be worth millions, and if a club suddenly just loses millions (when it's already making a loss) then it can't just brush it under the table like it didn't happen.
 
Actually in a peverse way, twice a year mind you, I wouldnt mind sports direct on our shirts, especially if ASH is paying millions just to get his own back, stranger things have happened.
