It's clear that there's a lack of physicality in the side and I'd like it addressed, it doesn't mean I think we should forget all about playing football. You can do both.

I think given our (apparent) budget anyone expecting "very fit players with good technique and a football brain" to be brought in during this window is going to be disappointed.
You're right, we aren't going to get in the perfect players. As much as I want to.

I think Lafferty might be a really top signing at this level.

He’s a smart enough player and he’s game for the physical side, seems a really savvy signing for me.
I just hope he can leave the partying behind.

Posted this on the Lafferty thread but worth repeating imo

Interview from the president of Palermo, the Italian club Lafferty spent a season at about 5 years ago...

“He is an out-of-control womaniser, an Irishman without rules. He is someone who disappears for a week and goes on the hunt for women in Milan”

“He has two families with 6 children, he never trains, he’s completely off the rails”

“He is uncontrollable”

Fair enough. Just thought they were funny comments :emoticon-0102-bigsm.No relevance really to the transfer but a bit out the ordinary.

We're very light up top and if Wyke gets injured we're ****ed. Lafferty might be a bit of a charlie, but he knows how to score goals....and should work at this level.

I'd love to see him get stuck into the dirty Wycombe ****ers, give them a taste of their own medicine
