Speaking about Nzogbia does anybody remember the goal against us he scored at the SOL when he played for Wigan, when he ran with the ball all the way from his own half? He was always known for his pace. Did he show any glimpses of it yesterday or has he lost it? Against Pools he never got chance to show it but i did noticed how stocky he looks now.
My feeling Bri, is that you're right ...... except that he'd be happy to be a threat from the bench and wouldn't sulk. Might be wrong like, wtf do I know?
All signings come with risk, on balance I would also have my doubts about Zog. Good footballer but unreliable. I give you Chimbonda, possibly one of the best fullbacks we have ever had, but in a recent poll on here he was not mentioned once. He also came from Wigan via Spurs I believe.
I'd consult the entire team before signing Nsomnia and if it's not unanimous then ditch him, he's been trouble everywhere he's gone, one of those who will definitely have had a part in Villa's demise. Talented of course but with risks, Adel Taraabt springs to mind.
Depends on our wage budget. Weve still got the likes of Bridcutt, Buckley, Gomez and Mavrias on Prem wages.
I loved him mate, we had a period, very short I agree, where we played sublime football down his wing with several players in the side who could ghost past the opposition as if they weren't there, and I love that style of football. Admittedly it does not always win you matches, but you leave the ground thinking you have witnessed something special, and that feeling lasts.
Fair play mate. Defensively i thought he was very average. Him and Diouf were both ar$eholes who thought they were bigger than the club in my opinion. Maybes my dislike for him overshadowed his ability.
Diouf was another strange one, obnoxious to say the least, but he worshiped Cisse and would have run through a brick wall to impress him, the team was I believe very close to making the dream of mid table a reality, and with these guys it would not have been mediocre. Shame we had the wrong manager at the time, Roy was no Big Sam when it came to man management. But maybe even he could not have tamed these guys who knows.
My apologies, been in the car most of the day, stuck in traffic, finally getting back in time for a few beers down the local before it closed, but are you guys talking about Yedlin? If so, he ain't the finished article. We should be looking for better. Every time we loan a player who does well, we have to sign him before the next window closes. I don't get that, not at all. If this isn't about Yedlin, my apologies.
No mate, the topic was what you have for breakfast ......... I said 'kippers' and everyone took the piss
Was laughing at the player not you fella. He was ****e imo, completely disinterested. Quickly lost his place and didn't feature much after.
