I bought Zil coin at 0.069 cent and sold half of it at 0.20 cent.

I think we're on a cusp of a alt season now.

He near on tripled his cash on half the currency he bought.

Like buying a euro for a quid & selling it later for 3 quid

I guess the Russians are now using Bitcoin to evade sanctions and the collapse of the Ruble?

My brother in law invested heavily last year - saw a good rise, then lost nearly all of it. He said it was starting to recover a bit

My daughter's boyfriend was sat on over £159,000 profit last October .
I said aren't you gonna sell he said no I will have to pay tax .
I said it's better paying 40% tax on that amount than no tax in nothing .
One of his Cryptos was worth over £25,000 for a £5,000 investment ( Mobipay)
Watched it fall till it was worth £7,000 then sold .

Apparently bitcoin is old hat now, metaverse is the place to be. It's mad and makes no sense to me but there you go.

    This is a good read.

    https://www.theguardian.com/games/2022/jan/25/ive-seen-the-metaverse-and-i-dont-want-it

edit: I've just listened to the Zuckerberg presentation in that article. Christ, he's full of ****. Trouble is though him and his ilk are so rich and powerful they probably will impose all this crap on us in some shape or form. One of the few times when I'm sort of glad I won't be around to see much of it.

I'm putting my money into secondverse instead.

And if that pans out, I'll be sticking a bit into middleeight and possibly some into thirdverse as well. <ok>

" It is another place to spend money on things, except in this place the empty promise that buying stuff will make you happy is left even more exposed by the fact that the things in question do not physically exist "

Early days and I put a few £k in it.
Not money I need so just happy to sit on it and see where it goes. Mainly as a diversification from the usual pension stuff.

I think we've had the bottom in this bear market.

If I was people I would start look at picking bits up now. Probably Dollar Cost Average in the next three to six months.

Time in the market not timing the market. Classic mistake, thinking we know what the market will do, where the bottom or top is. Not even the pros know.
