Our woes away from home last season had nothing to do with a lack of an attacking midfielder. It was all due to these things- one, we sat too deep and let the opposition have far too much possesion and two, when we did have possesion, we didn't do enough with it and lost it too easily, probably something to do with sitting too deep and allowing the opposition to almost set base in our half.
Lack of width as well. With Valencia and Park injured for such long periods and Giggs shifted to the centre we only had Nani as a wide player. And whilst he was outstanding, our form seemed to vary with his performances far too much - seven of his nine goals came at home which pretty much mirrors our home / away form. The addition of Young, and Valencia hopefully avoiding any serious injury, should address much of our away weakness imo. Young has already helped us effectively turn what would have been another away draw into a win
