Do we really need a creative midfielder?

Lack of width as well. With Valencia and Park injured for such long periods and Giggs shifted to the centre we only had Nani as a wide player. And whilst he was outstanding, our form seemed to vary with his performances far too much - seven of his nine goals came at home which pretty much mirrors our home / away form. The addition of Young, and Valencia hopefully avoiding any serious injury, should address much of our away weakness imo. Young has already helped us effectively turn what would have been another away draw into a win <ok>

I dont actually think we "need" one. It would be nice to see a world class cm in there, but I thnk we have the team to win the league already there, europ well thats a different matter

Nah, Fergie mustn't have been convinced about Hargreaves' long-term fitness.

I would take Diarra, unless Fergie has a reason to doubt that Diarra could do a job.
