Now then..
The Steve McLaren rejection by Aston Villa after apparently Randy Learner or another board member taking heed of a fans forum against his appointment sort of prompted this post..
Last month was my next doors neighbours 60th wedding anniversary and as a treat the family got them a table in the boxes at York races. On the table next to them was Niall Quinn and others and my neighbour, the sound nice guy he is, recognised him and went over and had a banter. In that banter he said to NQ and I quote, "I have a Sunderland fanatic next door to me, used to go a lot but lollie his partner hasn't been well at all and he spends his time looking after her and his little daughter Ella", to which NQ replied, 'You don't call him Joe do you'? My neighbour replied "Nae lad, you call him Steve (real name
).
Anyway, the only way NQ could have assumed a guy called Joe, an Ella and crippled lass Lollie would have been either here or 606 of old.
Wonder how much they do read and what difference it makes in decision making when they read it?
