Blackpool striker DJ Campbell has reiterated his desire to remain in the top flight next term to boost his hopes of playing for England.

The striker has a release clause in his contract enabling him to leave the Seasiders for £1.25million as a result of their relegation from the Premier League.

England ambitions... i've got as much chance of playing for England as he has!

Rooney, Carroll, Bent, Defoe, Crouch, Agbonlahor, Sturridge, Zamora, Welbeck and Charlton Cole are all ahead of DJ in the pecking order so he doesnt really have much chance. Unless he learns the offside rule and signs for Man U which is unlikely

I dont rate Charlton Cole 1 bit but someone does because West Ham and England keep picking him and he nevers does anything. DJ will struggle next season in the prem he would be best off sticking with Blackpool

Take out Charlie Adam and Blackpool would of got relegated before christmas. He is the only prem player they have and he will leave now

I can't access sky sports web site at work I assume he wants a move and doesn't think its fair that clubs aren't queueing up to offer him 6 figure contracts

Rooney, Carroll, Bent, Defoe, Crouch, Agbonlahor, Sturridge, Zamora, Welbeck and Charlton Cole..........

...........and Beckford and Jerome and Davies and Owen and Johnson and Smithy and Margaret Thatcher and Serge from Kasabian - these are just a few of the many people who Capello would resort to picking before the barrel was well and truly scraped to within an inch of its' life and he came across DJ.

Mind you, Blackpool fans were given plenty of warning about exactly what they were signing so they can't be that surprised by this turn of events. He does have form when it comes to mouthing off and trying to engineer a move - whether anyone in the PL will actually want him though is very questionable. He's taken a risk and it'd be quite satisfying to see it backfire.
