All done now. They were on a job around the corner so they popped around and fixed it. Took all of five minutes.
Got them to replace the full length, less ****ty fifty year old pipe to go pop in the future.

They're designed for plasterboard walls so should have been a piece of piss to push into the cavity.Push them in.
It doesn't happen they are locked in there. I won't use them again unless I'm sure I won't have to take them out, good bit of kit if you don't want to take them out. Maybe a screwdriver and hammer.
