Finished the bedroom, bar a curtain rail and voile, which she can sort.

She gone up there with her manic cleaning head on and already smashed one of the bed side lamps to pieces.

Can hear her up there, ****ing things up.

Took me three whole full weekends and five IKEA trips, it's taken her 15 minutes to break something.

ah you mean how old was the stuff rather than when we bought the house .
    rough guess 50's early 60's .
There was a spanner which weighed almost as much as me and a plane so thick i could have squared off this puny planet . We really used to make stuff to last :emoticon-0165-muscl

This thread should have been created three years ago, I'd have kept you all on the edge of your seat whilst doing the entire house! Not much left to report nowadays assist from the garden; waiting in posts and plinths to be delivered atm (only been 4wks so far)

    It didn't.

I didn't fancy attempting it by myself...So opted just to paint.....Which i'm ****ing sick of doing now....

I'm so bored of painting now,, up and down steps, lying on the floor cutting in etc.....

Legally couldn't fit boiler or do the re-wiring but did everything else. New bathroom, kitchen, utility room, knocked walls down, plastering, tiling, etc. All whilst working full time and the Mrs working evenings so had three kids to watch whilst at it <laugh>
