I can agree with everything he said. I have bitched as have millions about the World Cup. Every EVERY european FA should not deal with FIFA on this Winter World Cup, play their leagues and tbh this will be the end of FIFA if the national associations refuse to go along but Qatar will give money to every national FA and they will accept it, the money wont go into football but into pockets and we the fans will be screwed out of a full season of football, and once it happens once, it will be far far too easy for it to happen again.

Football is becoming a game, and not sport any more.

Re the Bale Suarez thing. Bale is a good lad and so is Suarez. I have no issue with either as do we all, the media and every little cling on piece of **** slating one and not the other, that is my problem. It amounts to racism and not xenophobia btw, out and out racism, and we know racism in the UK is institutionalised, in the FA, Government and police forces, the very institutions that say we cannot be racist towards anyone. Go Figure.

Seen this after my post SOC, so why do you bang on about Suarez when we're talking Bale?

When did Suarez last get booked and have you forgotten Neville already, same theatrical dive and playing goal keeper, do you not see he's done the exact same things as Suarez, but Suarez is the dirty foreigner, you are a classic example of what is wrong with the media, you are the result, which makes you nothing more than a collection of hack articles and reports and bias in a meat bag, you CAN be so much more if you try<ok>

    Or you're a wum fk<ok>

I think it's funny that you guys always bleat on about Bale getting preferentially treatment compared to Suarez in the media yet some of you were saying that Bale has been booked for diving 6 times this season, no doubt based on the media who reported that when he got his one game ban for 5 yellows it was for 5 dives. He'd actually been booked 3 times for diving at that point(4 now).

Damn biased media giving Bale extra credit for diving whilst Suarez gets picked on for having only been booked for diving twice(?) if they judged him by the same standards they judge Bale he could be on a mighty 8, which would be another reason that he's the best player in the Premier League <grr>

Must admit I have not seen it reported as six this season only as six in just over a year. Still far more than suarez yet the media outcry is nowhere near what it was for suarez.

2nd best, how is he the best? how many goals has he got?

turning it on for most of a season for the first time doesnt make his the best, but he's british, relax he'll be at united next year and you wont care

It was when he picked up his 4th booking, apologies. There were some others based on this "fact" and pundits used it a fair bit until they realised it was wrong.

    And as for media outcry:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...fi-Sigurdsson-Jan-Vertonghen-score-goals.html

    (borrowed from PNP)

There's probably plenty of other stuff but I'm not going to trawl through websites. When Suarez gets booked for diving is there really a massive outcry compared to others? Maybe I just miss it because I don't support Liverpool and so don't really read/care what the media say. From what I see he gets criticised because he cheats a lot, not necessarily diving and, like Bale, doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because of their reputation. Bale's even been accused of diving when the other play has come out and admitted he fouled him so I really don't know where this idea comes from that Bale gets an easy ride.

Can I have a translation, someone?

Still no where near the media outcry, the terminology used is completely different and if you dont understand the media enough to see that then I cannot help you.

Its not really media bias against Suarez. Its just media bias against foreign players.

They do not hesitate to say foreign players like Suarez are cheating. But they always laugh off or defend the actions of British players.

Wonder if Grant Holt will get any sort of criticism following his dive for Norwich today or if it'll be swept under the carpet because it's Grant Holt who has done so well coming up through the leagues <ok>

Bale dives, and the one v Inter he has no excuse but you can see some where he is running at such pace that sometimes it can take a small touch or even just trying to avoid the tackle it can result in going down but I don't think he helps himself in the way he goes down. It's obviously when a player is properly fouled because they go down naturally, however you can see so many times Bale and others (including Suarez) when they get fouled slightly that they then go down unnaturally which makes it seem like a dive.

This stems from a problems that ref's don't give free kicks when players stay on their feet. So the choices are, stay on your feet and be appluaded for "staying up" but not getting anything from the ref because you can't have possibly been fouled when it didn't make you fall over.... or go down knowing full well you've been fouled but knowing that everyone else is going to think you've dived and then also risk future decisions by gaining a reputation (fair or not) that you are a diver.

He's been a player that's pissed me off everytime I've seen him in the Premier League(apart from against Arsenal). He often "wins" freekicks by backing into players and then pretending he's been pushed and this kind of situation will bring to light his true colours, it's not so much the media that have overlooked him but referees.
