Good points RP. In fairness to Tomlin, since he lost a stone and a half last year and refound himself, he has shown just what he can do and was instrumental in getting us to the playoffs.

His issues recently have been due to an ongoing fitness problem. During his enforced absence due to suspension he has gone under the knife and is now recuperating, hopefully to return sometime in the new year.

Fingers crossed he doesn't eat all the turkey and pud over Christmas and revert to his former portly self.

Yeah the boy can definitely play - but I’ll never forget that ‘missed’ penalty - it looked like he deliberately flunked it. I suppose until his book comes out we’ll never know.

The bone of contention over here is that the powers that be at the club have tended to rely on him rather than sourcing another option at playmaker.

The acquisition of Harry Wilson from Liverpool at the 11th hour before the window shut could have just been a bit of good luck rather than planned.

Totally agree - something needs to be done and quickly before his head goes down even further.

Getting the best out of any player means providing the right environment around him - Wilson hasn't got that and he's ineffective as it is.

You don't need to tell us that JGF - we were well aware of our predicament - losing was never an option though always possible.

Apart from the fans, probably the most relieved man on the planet is Harris.
 
so what is the expectation for your local derby … will they have a swansong or go home bleating?
