Let us know how you get on.Thanks everyone, I booked the Indian in Ferriby... ive made a note of all the others....
The Star at Sancton. Haven’t eaten anywhere better locally for quite a while. It’s better than Pipe & Glass in my opinion.
Last time I went it was bang average and that’s being generous.
Steak was very disappointing and the menu was well…… meh.
Ordered a pricey bottle of wine and the waitress shoved it under my nose and asked’ did you order that?’ when I confirmed I had she plonked it on the table and ****ed off.
Service was extremely amateurish.
I won’t be rushing back.
Tapasya, Ambient Tapas and Hull Fish Co, all on Humber Street, are all decent.
I went to the Ambiente in York a couple of years ago and I discovered, after munching into it,that one of my tapas(some sort of chicken skewer) was undercooked, almost raw on the inside...I don't rate Ambiente at all, been twice and the food was poor both times, the other two are good though (Tapasya is the same guy that owns Ruthvika Spice).
Same experiance here ... food is slightly above average but every time I've been the service has been poor.Last time I went it was bang average and that’s being generous.

Hearth has been A1 top notch every time we have been. Would definitely recommend (the taster menu is worth a look).Sounds like I'll have to check out Hearth , just looked at the reviews
