I have supported Sunderland since 1960 my friend when I lived there for 7 years until migrating to Oz. I have many friends in Sunderland but they are thinning out a little now. I saw my first game at Hull City in 1946 with my Granddad and have been hooked on football ever since. I have followed Hull City as they are my home team but I became a Sunderland fan whilst working there in the 60's. I have many rello's living in Hull and they all support Hull City and I converse with them on the Hull City message boards. When I joined the not606 site I joined the Hull City site but when I tried to change my signature to one appropriate to Sunderland it wouldn't let me. I didn't get this from Sky but from other sources which all quoted Dick as 'resigning' his position as Manager of Sunderland.
I reckon **** off dick the little pin prick.. Can't handle the PL then piss off ya sook.. We got a point yesterday against a team that had won 3 straight away games...

Sunderland AFC have announced that Dick Advocaat has left his position as head coach at the club. The Dutchman informed the chairman of his decision to step down from his role and departs the Stadium of Light with immediate effect. Speaking about his departure, Mr. Advocaat said: “I want to thank everyone who has stood behind me. This is a very special football club, with so many great people, but I feel it is the right time to do this - not for me, but for the club. I have made the decision to go after only eight games as I felt it was important to give everyone time turn things around - like we did last year - Dick Advocaat “I have made the decision to go after only eight games as I felt it was important to give everyone time turn things around - like we did last year. I am thankful to the chairman for understanding my feelings and I remain on good terms with everyone at the club. “I wish Ellis, Lee (Congerton), all of the staff, players and of course the supporters, who made me feel so welcome here, the very best of luck for the rest of the season. I have some wonderful memories to take with me and I hope I will return to see everybody again in the future.” Sunderland AFC chairman Ellis Short said: “I am truly saddened by Dick’s decision, but I respect him for his honesty and for doing what he feels is right for the club. "He is a man of integrity and a true football person. He was hugely respectful of the club in taking this decision and he acted 100% in our best interests. It is also testament to his character that he has forgone any kind of a financial settlement, something which is very unusual in football. “I want to place on record my sincere thanks to Dick. He will be remembered with great affection by everyone at Sunderland and there will always be a warm welcome for him here at the Stadium of Light. “While this isn’t a situation any of us envisaged being in, what is important now is that we regroup quickly and focus on the rest of the season.” Assistant head coach Zeljko Petrovic has also left the club.
Dick, thanks for keeping us up but you've canceled that out by abandoning us. More instability. Ta very much. Shouldn't have come back.
Bizarre timing just before the derby match hehe, Fred blogs comes in and we get beat 8-0 at WBA but beat the mags (6 on the trot)to make history !, you could not write the story. Sam is an ex mag so he cannot come here, Wenger for me, i'll give him a toot in the morning. And by the way our chances for Europa league football next season is taking a bash with Lens getting sent off ! What a weekend for the north east yesterday, horrific. On another note put the Monaco match on which is on b t sports and look at the size of the crowd ! built the stadium in the wrong place I reckon.
I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say that, for once, I think you were intentionally being funny. Good effort
Bit sad about this as Dick is a top bloke and I liked having him in charge. I wouldn't say none of it was his fault but the majority of it wasn't. The manager we need now is Allardyce, an established premier league manager with a wealth of experience and who will know exactly how to sort out our defence and make us 100% harder to beat.
Go for de Boer. Would Allardyce keep us up? Probably. then we'd stagnate. Pearson I actually like as a manager just not a person, Dyche, I wouldn't choose him but wouldn't be offended. de Boer would look like a progressive move with a future in it, not a short term fix to be replayed next year. Can we stop talking about Allardyce sides being 'hard to beat' as well, it's horse ****, his teams have lost as many as anyone's in the PL.
Nah mate, let's look at that nutter against pin dick. Pearson got the results.. You gotta look at it from the player point of view.. Every1 knows there's a select few players who run our club ATM. NP would def be sum1 to kicks start our season and get results.. Who you suggesting?
I'd go all out for any one of proven quality and out work. Bielsa has been suggested and he's very highly rated. Klopp would be a dream, would likely say no but I'd still be asking before settling for fat Sam or nige. Or as nads says a de Boer or cocu type. We should be aiming to get someone out of of league because we need to get out of this league.
