said we should have been in for him in the summer, would rather we went for Sissoko though; similar price (i assume - maybe cheaper), cheaper wages, not African. Although a major benefit of getting Diame would be weakening a rival

I'd take this fella like. He ran the show when we played west ham a few weeks back. At 3.5 mil, if its true about the release clause, I'd be disappointed if we didn't atleast table an offer then leave it to the player.
Would also like cissoko which is probably more likely but who knows who we will bring in. A centre half has to be a priority for me though.

agreed.

also i doubt that Diame's release clause is as simple or as cheap as £3.5mil

he was a beast in the game at SJP for Wigan last season. Wanted him since then. 3.5million bargain.

agreed.

Who knows, but he definitely has a release clause and the figure has came from somewhere. Might have the same agents as Ba. Leaking info to get a pay day

An opportunity to see Diame in action now, more interesting though is seing how Liverpool fare without Suarez, :emoticon-0112-wonde

West Ham 0-1 Liverpool - Glen Johnson (11 mins)

What a goal this is! Glen Johnson bites the hand that used to feed him as the ex-Hammer puts Liverpool ahead in fine style. The right-back just takes aim from 25 yards and bullets a shot into the top corner. Unstoppable.

Liverpool look in good nick. Harsh pen that. Typical Rodgers side though, don't threaten enough for all the nice passing. I could see West Ham going on to win. Diame is a funny one. Game passes him by when defending or general play. But when he gets the ball he really drives them forward and can carry the ball long distances. Would suit a three with Cabaye and Tiote, all bringing different things to the party.

Lucas is a top player.

Edit: Great finish at wrong end by Stevie G. Towering header <laugh>
