Saints are flogging tickets through Groupon and I had this pushed through my door yesterday.

Are fans walking away from the club?

I am not surprised my neighbours who went home and away up until last season don't go anymore.

When I asked them why they said "Lack of ambition, no clear direction, very poor decision making by the Board and very poor football on the pitch with a second rate manager".

I have amended this part of your post Godders. A perfect description of our clueless and leaderless Government dancing to the tune of Boris.

Back to the issue. I cannot really comment, but I hope there is some burning ambition. They must realise that Championship football would harm revenue streams, so surely their objective is to try to get SFC to finish as high as possible up the League.

As to your other point about the manager. I thought Stoke had assembled a good squad during Hughes´s time there, but obviously something was not quite right and they bombed. So maybe your thoughts on the manager are well …..! I better keep my thoughts quiet on here for the moment.

The sooner our fans come to terms with the fact we are no longer that 2013 squad, led by one on the most tyrannical leaders the Premier League has ever seen the better.
We are now part of the also rans, with ownership designed to make money. Throw away your dreams, and leave your ambitions behind. You can still enjoy this, but don't expect so much. We rode the best wave ever, now we find ourselves floundering in the shallows. Well, that just makes me love the memories more.
Without the delusions of grandeur, there's still an enjoyable journey to be had.

Absolutely. They key to contentment in life is acceptance. I have accepted the fact that we are more likely to be in a relegation battle than contesting for a European spot, at least for this season. And so what? For at least 30 of the 45 years I have supported Saints, it's been like that.

"Enjoyable" is the key word here, I have actually enjoyed every match that I have seen at SMS this season if a bit frustrated by the end results, that is in total contrast to most of last season and that's all I want as a Saints fan, to get up into the top ten and beyond would be the cherry on the cake.

Bollocks. Never accept ****. You lot really are a bunch of snowflakes.

"They key to contentment in life is acceptance" is the most dreadful thing I have ever read. You might as well be dead if that is your attitude to life.
