I never said he deserved it I said I had no sympathy for him due to the personality he has courted in the press and his antics. You can read what you want into my comments Frank. The fact of the matter is I can see this from outside an Old Firm perspective whereas you are looking at it with your Union Jack specs on sitting there outraged that someone was jumped at a taxi rank. Happens every weekend in the UK. I've never seen you post anything so vitriolic about it before though.

Is it only wrong when it happens to a Rangers player?

We all know why he was attacked, same reason Beasley's car was torched, same reason Novo has been hunted and threatened over the internet with his details posted.

So the guys that set about Lennon and the ones who started on McGeady and took a hiding off O'Dea were just ordinary punters then Frank? The guys who shouted abuse at Scott Brown about his dead sister, these guys were Celtic fans too?

You're the one on the wind-up. Either that or you are completely ignorant and blinkered by your allegiances. These things have been going on from both sides for years. And I can admit that there are Celtic fans culpable of committing some shocking acts but it's not a one way street as you have dogmatically claimed.

Maybe you should look at this from a different point of view instead of sitting there foaming at the mouth because McGregor got a black eye.
 
Was Beasley's car not torched because he had been playing around with some bird who was involved with some of Glasgow's crime scene? Sure I read that somewhere. If so he will be keeping it in his trousers if he's got any sense.

The Lennon incident is pretty much identical to the McGregor one. My beef is the blatant difference in reporting of them. The articles are on the first post, take a look.

As for McGeady, that wee fud hid behind a fence while Brown and O'Dea scrapped <laugh>

Pretty much how it is guys? No footballer deserves to be attacked or threatened for what they do on the pitch. It's wrong and there's no excuse for it but to say one of the OF fans are worse than the other's ****ed up <ok>
 
Frank I don't disagree with your opinion on the reporting of it, I never said that anywhere, but you know what the media are like. But my point is concurrent to yours in that McGregor and Lennon are a pair of ****s who by acting the way they do **** people off. Anyone getting jumped isn't fair and I agree with that. How many times have you seen someone getting a kicking and thought "He deserved that" doesn't make it right though.

I'd just like to know why the same newspaper reported the Neil Lennon incident as a "cowardly sectarian attack" - later proved in court not to be the case - yet they dont mention the words "cowardly" or "sectarian" here and instead focus on how raging Walter Smith will be that McGregor was at a night out <doh>

At this stage as much is known about the McGregor incident as was known about the Lennon one, yet they're being reported completely differently.
 
TN8 - This is the same paper that got sued for "Thugs and Thieves" we're arguing over a paper who deliberately write articles so OF fannies will buy the paper and go "that's no on and by the way how the **** did they say that for us and no them"
 
Dougie - I don't rate McCulloch as a player but we need a dirty **** like him in the team. Scotland should always have a hatchet-man on the park to protect the flair players. Someone chops down Faddy, McCulloch gets into them. Good tactic.
