Derek Lambias has attacked Shearer for giving his opinion on the sale of Andy Carroll.
Llambias has said, "Do I care what Shearer has to say? When he managed the club we were relegated with 5 points from his 8 games in-charge."

Do they honestly think they could slag off a highly-regarded club legend from his playing days and think they can get away with it? They may as well tell us to pull our pants down and bend over! We all know that Shearer was fighting a losing battle that year and he couldn't avoid the inevitable. I mean he'd inherited a squad full of players who just couldn't be bothered or with nerves so frayed that even Paul Mckenna wouldn't have been able to motivate them!

As someone who hasn't owned a season ticket since I moved to uni I'm really finding it hard to justify spending the usual £60 a pop going back for home matches (ticket, petrol, etc). I'll still be attending all the away matches I can and supporting the team that way, but when the owner and his lapdog treat the supporters as scum I can't bring myself to part with any of my money to them.

He actually says "when he ran this football club" Funny thing is, I thought that the so-called chairman ran the football club and that was lambias himself.
He is talking as if he had nothing to do with our relegation and that it ws all Shearer's fault.
Once again, a senior official at our club has shown a complete lack of class and has proven that he is devoid of any understanding of how the fans feel.
He also has one of those faces that really needs to be slapped!!

We were in freefall when Shearer came in to try and rescue us, even Superman couldn't have. At least he loved the club and bled B&W, Llambiarse and Cashley didn't even know where SJP was.

He cared enough to come out on record after relegation and state that the club was 100% behind Alan. He was the man for the club and the future.

Then they ignored him.
 
shouldn't of said what he did about Shearer. However most of waht he said is true. I also hope the info that we are getting the full £35million to spend is true, time will tell!!!
 
I'm not defending the incompetent fool, but the daily mail are banned from SJP and newcastle do not converse with them, so i cant see how they can quote him.

If other papers are quoting him then fair enough, but not that rag of a paper.
