Will be sorted this week. But my empathy with Derby fans is beginning to wane following some of their nasty comments. Calling our claim to be "what might have been and pigs could fly etc" and being generally nasty about our promotion to the Championship. FFS our claim was at least tangible. The difference between the umbrella payment on relegation after 1 year and 2 years and the loss of TV rights should be easy enough to add up. Whereas Middlesbrough's £45m was based on what might have been as there was no guarantee they would have got to the final of the play-offs, let alone win them for promotion to the Premier. It's another case of let's get the big club sorted then we can boss the little club. Rumour has it the settlement will be less than 6 figures. I wonder what was agreed between Morris and Middlesbrough. The Football finance expert has made it clear that when clubs realise the cost of contesting a claim in the High Court they soon decide to settle out of court because it is quicker and cheaper. I'm sure Rob knows what he is doing but, as I said earlier going for Morris in the High Court would be a very dangerous route and it would be better, given it is a potential football debt, to take the original route (ie against the club) unless Morris agrees a sensible solution. I suspect Morris wants to lure Wycombe into a High Court claim against him as he believes he would win that, whereas Wycombe would probably win the claim against the club. A claim against the club could see Derby edge closer and closer to liquidation. It's become a game of poker
