Sadly a state of the art training facility at Warren Farm still requires great coaches to produce real talent, so don’t get your hopes up about a ten year plan.
Sadly, attracting young talent in the first place will be hard enough. We are likely to sell them on anyway. Every club is looking for that special player, ours was Raheem. How many first team appearances did he make? We are more likely to become just a feeder club as if the first team cant compete then the ambition of players will always out do loyalty.

I wonder what hes doing?
Prentice found us BOS, Smythe, and Eze...Think he recommended Freeman, Bidwell, Leistner
All on budget costs...that have kept us within FFP. Remember we were under embargo in January ...so nothing could be done
Prentice is good...and what we necessarily need in our only viable business model

You mean Penrice?

Last season's 3 promoted sides had combined losses of circa £150m , all exceeded ffp limits in one fail swoop so looking forward to Cardiff and Fulham starting next season on minus 12 points. This season's top 3 are a bit of an anomaly with hardly any big spending so it has been good to see the likes of villa derby etc having to go into the play off lottery and possibly have points deduction for failure and overspending....

All great points Beth. Scouting and recruiting has to be as hit and miss as buying players. Youngsters especially change so much as they ‘mature’.
So far, I wouldn’t be so quick to jump on Penrice. He has little budget, a club that is struggling, managers changing every 9 months with different playing styles and player requirements. He hasn’t started too badly to be fair to him.
We need a cohesive structure, with our young teams playing to the style of the first team and opportunities for youngsters to be in the first team squad/bench/first 11.
But please... a strong defence with a leader in there.. is that too much to ask?

Just shows what a farce the FA and the system are.
Be more than surprised if any other team gets shafted like us.

It seems they've both got away with it this time. Villa got a compensation payment over land taken for HS2 and Derby 'sold' their stadium to their owner's company. Unlike TF who wasn't subtle enough to concoct a viable cock and bull scenario...

He must be spitting blood that they have got away with it.
