4-1 Russell.

I hope Bruce is watching this, Derby are showing exactly what happens if you actually ****ing attack teams.
Yep, as I said in post #5. Derby make us look what Bruce has turned us into, ****ing pedestrian! When Kevin Phillips was available for a coaching role we should have snapped him up, there again Bruce would've probably appointed him as assistant to Tony Pennock!

Completely agree LBA. When I watch other teams like Derby the contrast with our "pedestrian", clueless, lack of ideas and creativity style of football just makes me throw up my hands in despair. A good day for Bruce is a 1-0 win with us hanging on desperately in the last 20 minutes.

The man hasnt a clue how to play attacking football. I got up at 4.30 am (Canadian West Coast time) to watch the 1-1 bore draw yesterday against the Wendies. I was almost asleep again by half time. Newcastle are supposed to be relegation fodder in the Prem this year but they scored 6 today against Norwich playing some brilliant attacking football with their striker banging in 4 of them. It isnt that we have bad players. We have a s*** manager whose Plan A is the same boring brand of football game after game and he doesnt have a Plan B. And what bloody good is Phelan if this is what he's brought to the table.

If we lose to a crap Ipswich side on Tuesday we'll be in mid-table and sinking. BRUCE OUT!! And Pennock...or anyone...INNN!! I used to enjoy watching City...not anymore. Saturdays have become a bloody nightmare!!

Absolutely this.

Cue somebody playing the "best manager we've ever had card", probably somebody from the 60s who can make a retrospective comparison of how lucky we are to have such a talented squad.

Yeah i must admit im bored watching our games.
Its painful to watch i even put cricket on yesterday
Please please entertain us just once

Wijnaldum is an attacking midfielder, rather than a striker. Until today, Newcastle have being poor and they were helped by poor defending but it shows what more assertive football can do and it puts opponents under pressure. Derby really showed what we are lacking in their game with Wolves today. Cheer up, old bean and hopefully we can produce the goods this week.

Why the heck can't we find an attacking midfielder like Wijnaldum who gets into the box and scores 4 goals in a game. Instead we've got Slugglestone and gave Ince to Derby. I'll be happy if we score 2 against Ipswich...ecstatic if by some miracle we score 3.!!

If we could Bruce would probably play him at left back, but only if he's right footed.
