Erm let's not forget the last club that had points deducted .. Wigan .. who comfortably finished above us and were unlucky in the end not to stay up. Let's not count our chickens just yet, we have form for being shyte !

The Reading one is interesting, for us in particular, given their current owners and their failed attempt at taking control of us, i can't stand the Allams and want them out, but does go to show that the grass isn't always greener, and that a stupid owner who doesn't spend silly money can be better than a stupid owner who does spend silly money.

I guess that really depends where we both finish right?

If Reading get points deducted but stay up (after spending silly money) you could argue they were in a better position than us if we are relegated (after spending very little) or vice versa of course.

I have to admit to agreeing to this, Pier. I ****ing despise the Allams, but, well it's a dilemma isn't it. We don't have a crystal ball.

I made my choice years ago and despite the fact any new owner may well turn out to be a ****, I'm sticking with it.

It is a shame that Mel Moron will probably walk away from this mostly unscathed. Owners need to be held to account better.

There are going to be a lot of smaller companies and tradesman that will lose out badly.

True.
Hopefully therefore we just get one that isn't stupid.

To an extent yes, but come the start of next season, if we're both in the same division (bigger if on our part than theirs!) they'll still have a chunk of players on 20k+ a week, a much bigger wage bill than us and more debt, long term, i'd rather have our finances than theirs.....with Jeff Bezos as our new owner

According to geezer from Radio Derby. The Rams are £60 million in debt. Not much chance of an investor in the short term, unless someone wants to service the debt. Mel Morris blaming covid, but according to the same geezer that's lame.
