Sometimes the cause of the depression is deep rooted, sometimes it's a chemical imbalance.

The good thing is you've recognised it, and are able to talk about it, those are massive steps some don't make, so well done for those.

I'd suggest getting expert help. Make an appointment at your doctors, tell them what's going on, and how you're feeling, and ask about counselling.

It's not easy to see when you're in it, but there is a better world at the other end of the journey you're on. Stick with it, and keep talking. <ok>
This ^ is spot on Matt.

The brain is an organ same as any other, and sometimes it needs some medication

To add to what I put, and what Tobes says, talking is good, so if you have nobody around, and I know it can be offered as a piss take at times, but you may find the Samaritans a big help until you can get to the Drs. Give them a call, what have you got to lose?

I don't know if this helps much, but I get the Blues most weekends, and I let my guitar do my crying for me.

You will always, ALWAYS, find the answer in a bottle my friend, don't listen to the haters and Mussies m8.

Get back on that drink addled horse and all your problems will disappear.

If you don't wake up with self loathing and regret on a regular basis then you're not living life properly <cheers>

Cheers fella, good post <ok>

Ps. ALWAYS have a few Diazepam to hand, it's amazing what you can rationalise with a few of those wee belters in you.

<laugh>

Ain't had none of them for a few years now, used to love doing a few of those with a few drinks on a nice Summers day. Used to be great for comedowns after raves too.

Might have to source some soon :bandit:

I was diagnosed as a schizophrenic but I'm in two minds about the illness.
I was upset about it at first but we have come to terms with it now.
