We could always "ground share" that training facility with the Bees - would bring a few of our high earner, non performers down to earth?
The club's official update: WARREN FARM UPDATE Club aware of latest action regarding Warren Farm ... THE club is aware of action being taken by the Hanwell Community Forum (HCF) against the London Borough of Ealing in relation to Warren Farm. In response, the council have issued the following statement from Council Leader, Councillor Julian Bell. ‘During the toughest economic times in our history, the council is trying to secure long-term investment in high-quality community sporting facilities that will benefit generations of Ealing residents. Before this agreement goes ahead, QPR will have to commit to significant investment in Warren Farm and its public facilities, so to suggest it is a gift is nonsense. If this legal action results in a judicial review it will put the council’s finances under even more strain, but we will be able to demonstrate that the decision by our planning committee was sound and based on proper planning conditions, and that the council was acting in the best interests of the people of this borough.’ Queens Park Rangers Football Club remains committed to the project and will continue to work closely with the council to ensure that the planning permission and decision to lease the site to the club stands. We will be making no further comment at this stage.
Why would anyone be moaning about it being fenced off, the only people I can think of are dog walkers who let their dogs crap on the pitches and obviously they shouldnt be doing that anyway. Can anyone honestly give me a good reason why theyd want access or why theyd prefer a massive derelict area of a smaller well maintain area that wont get vandalised?
Flyer, as I'm sure you know, in these matters people 'think' with their emotions and seldom look at matters rationally and sensibly. I hope they are just having their 15 mins of fame before the bull dozers roll in. The same people will be sending their kids or grandchildren to use the new facilities in due course.
I saw a photo of the protest group, about 10 people with 5 kids roped in to make up the numbers. people will protest anything. someone moves into a house next door to a pub. and then complains about the noise. I saw on LFW someone complained about noise from his business when he wasnt even open that day.
It's just a few people who prob have not visited the site for 10 years moaning for the sake of it. The same people I expect moan about kids playing football on the site, or dog ****e on the grass. ANYTHING
Speaking of belts, she must have a long one. That protester is obvouisly worried warren farm is the only place her fat arse can fit without causing property damage. Tony - pay her off with a treadmill or a season ticket at macdonalds.
