surely it is good business to get rid of all players who can no longer perform at this level given the fact we are likely to stay in the PL for the next few seasons (as long as each player as a relegation clause in their contract eh Mr Duffen)

atm lewis there are 5 worse clubs in this league, next season given our manager and the deals he has been able to pull out of the hat in the past due to his contacts which at least four clubs next season will not have means we are safe for the next season - and due to that stability over newly promoted teams means we can attract better players than they can - as alexander the meerkat would say, simples

can you tag my comment fettis and bring it up in 3 years time.
Nobody is saying we won't be here in three years time, we are only saying you're pissed

I know that highly positive postings are not that common on this board, hence the MDMA comment (don't even know what that is or does Erik). And I know we have history of starting off well in the PL and then bombing in the first season and then having an awful second season BUT things can, will and do change. And it is easy to stay up if you have the right manager (check), better players than at least three clubs (check), vocal home support meaning the stadium is like a fortress (check) and avoid employing an idiot director of football (check).
Update on current outgoing rumours...
Cairney to Blackburn now done.
Stewart to Leeds to happen this week.
Hobbs to Wigan(as a swap for Jean Beausejour), or to Forest(for a rumoured £700k).
Proschwitz to Eintracht Braunschweig.
Mclean to anyone who'll have him.
