What a load of gash this guy was in the first 45 minutes today. I don't want to judge him too quickly but from what I saw he simply doesn't have it. Passes went astray, never won any aerial balls, isn't he meant to be a big strong fella? On the brightside Taylor and Coloccini were just like a brick wall. If we get a striker and a left back in time I can see us beating Sunderland, if not we will be lucky to draw.

Contradiction.

His movement was good, Ameobi was the problem, he was way too far away from Ba. Don't know why but Ameobi was out wide a lot in the 1st half!

The ONLY reason Ameobi wasn't subbed at HT was because he can win an aerial battle. Both were piss poor and both do not work together!

Personally, I was impressed by Ba's movement and at least attempts to make a run. If nobody passses to you, you aren't going to score. Shola was lazy, his passing was astray virtually every time, and he didn't attempt to make a run or beat a man (without falling to the floor). What we missed is somebody in the Ben Arfa role. I feel with a player in the hole, Ba could be a great striker.

The ****ing formation is the problem, Ba and Ameobi just can't link up. Ba needs a good partner upfront with him.

WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER!! 2 MORE WOULDN'T GO A MISS!

He spent too much time on the floor. I said it after Leeds and I'll say it again, him and Ameobi are the exact same player in terms of playing style and it doesn't work having them both playing. From first impressions (two games), Ameobi has completely outclassed Ba!

Come on now people you can't judge a player on one game you have seen, plus most of the members on here agreed that Pards made a mistake playing him up with ****eobi and it showed. Once we have another new striker that can get regular game time with Ba I can see him being a real threat in the box, especially in the air. Just give it time, don't judge so soon.

Ba needs a GOOD STRIKER THOUGH TO PLAY WITH.. the problem is Ameobi and Ba IMO are two similar. Both big target men(6ft 2/3) who aren't exactly known for there explosive pace, unpredictability, technique and skill/dribbling are they? We need to buy a striker with VERY GOOD PACE and good finishing ability. Like a younger version of Lovenkrands for example but you know with more strength and better finishing. <ok>

This, give him a striker that will run around alot then it will be a much more successful pairing <ok>
