Why would he be loaned back to Spurs which would require dispensation to be given by FIFA when they could just post date the transfer and have him sign for Toronto at a later date. Is it just me, or have reporters got even lazier than normal this window?
 
... is this all necessary? Its not exactly banter and not football posting. Before anyone says don't read it... the title was about Defoe and there was initially some interesting talk - so what if it turns out its nothing, most of the names mentioned on here turn out to be rubbish.

If Defoe does **** off to Canadia theres going to be an awful lot of lonely page 3 girls. I'm willing to step in, cant stand the thought of all those upset 34DD's moping about that London.

Yes, it's the signing club that has to be in an open transfer window. (the MLS has the longer transfer window now and the shorter one in the summer)

International loans can only be long term ones (as opposed to emergency loans) which have to end in the parent club's transfer window for them to be eligible to then play for the parent club. So if Defoe can be loaned to Tottenham and return to Toronto in March, then Toronto could just sign him in March.
 
The flaw in any debate/suggestion of us bringing in any loan player was killed by Bruce being asked at the weekend by Burnsie 'Do you plan to bring in anyone on loan?',
to which Bruce replied 'We already have two'.
So we need to free up a place first.......
Any ideas, because I don't see Graham being recalled......and I hope Livermore isn't.

C'mon Chazz, who is Mrs. Rheinhold going to get to do the dishes, sort out the ironing and clean her smalls if you go off swanning off to the big smoke?

You must have missed the dishwasher thread awhile back Lincs. I've bought her all the gadgets to make looking after me easier. Spoil her rotten I do.
