Barbara Windsor. I am sure you figured high on the UK males fantasy list in the 60s and 70s. Carry on doing what you do best up there. RIP
Many years ago, I had the pleasure of spending several hours with Barbara Windsor, at a beach party in Birmingham (long story), she was exactly as she comes across on the telly. RIP Babs.
too right. She was having an affair with Sid James, when her then husband, the Krays associate, Ronnie Knight found out he went around to Sid's house, broke in and rearranged all the furniture. A subtle warning to Sid to lay off. When Babs spilled the beans on Knight, the Sun banner headline said : 'Babs Blabs'
Jock was the oldest living ex City player. He was my first City hero as a young boy. Tricky little winger who was fearless in that famous black and amber shirt. Could be wrong but I'm sure Jock ( as the fans knew him) scored City first ever goal to be shown on Grandstand/Sportnight televised highlights on BBC at the FA Cup replay with Everton at Goodison Park. Over 50,000 there. Had the pleasure in meeting him in later life, twice, at Ex-Tigers do's. He was so humble and pleased that people still remembered him as a player, even introduced me to his family who had come down from Scotland to attend one particular fund raising night for an ex player. Lovely bloke and so proud to have played for Hull City. RIP Jock.
