Please fix the bloody useless sound system at St Mary's.

If you can't or wont then turn the dam thing off as I can never make out what is being said anyway.

Silence is preferable to the gibberish that emerges from those speakers.

The only place where I can make out what is being said is in the lavatory at half time and then it isn't worth listening to at all.

PS Get rid of that bald headed warm up guy he is more useless than the sound system.

As I've explained before, it is difficult to test a stadium sound system because you can only properly do it with a capacity crowd in place, because the acoustics are completely changed from an empty stadium. But I agree, the sound system is poor, and all the operators seem to do to try to improve it is turn up the volume, which actually makes it worse. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the equipment. It is just positioned and aimed poorly, so that sound reflections are created which carry to the listeners ear at different times. Exactly the same phenomena as occurs in railway stations.
 
The bald guy can be a bit irritating but he's a hell of a lot better than the previous berk.

At least he actually seems to enjoy the job rather than the old moody git who then tried to lead the ground in the Lambert song.
 
The jay rod and Davis interviews on Saturday were the worst I've heard it. Could not make out a single word.
 
Agree about the sound system. Clear as day when I'm up in the Itchen, but in other parts of the stadium it's just echoey noise and is very difficult to make out.
 
The sound system is ****, every time some one speaks on it. It sounds like some one is speaking a foreign language.
 
I won't pretend to know anything about sound engineering or acoustics, so I don't know how easy it would be to rectify, but it does sound bloody dreadful.
 
I'm sure the announcement of who just scored or subbed is much clearer than the little bald fella and his half time interviews etc. which are almost impossible to understand. Not sure why this is the case, but with all the other improvements around the stadium it would be good if they could sort this out too.

If he was your dad then it'd be good because I could ask you to make him stop :( But yes our own version of the Crystal Girls would be very nice, mmmm
