The sunny south coast
Whilst I do get a bit sick of Sky's saturation coverage, there's no doubt that there is a degree of both excitement and trepidation as transfer deadline day approaches.
Personally I would far prefer that the deadline was the day before the season starts, but that's maybe for another thread.
Who do we think is on the way in and out?
Seems likely that Bassong and Becchio will both be on their way, and I strongly suspect that Surman will be back at Bournemouth. On the downside, could either Redmond or Hooper be prized out of our hands?
Anything on the incoming side? I'd be happy to see another centre back, but other than that I think we are pretty well covered.

Top post Dorset.

I'd be VERY happy to see Bassong, Becchio and Surman all leave!!

If QPR or Palace make a panic offer for Hooper of £10m which seems cheap for a striker these days then i wouldn't be surprised if we sell, the bigger problem would be replacing Hooper with someone anywhere near his standard in the last few hours.
When you here figures of £8m for Ipswich duds you would think the board would move mountains to keep Hooper with us as the prize for promotion is far greater than cashing in on our star players.
We don't know if Hooper wants out and all these rumors may well turn out to be pure bullshit but most fans seem happy with our dealings so far but not many would be so happy if Redmond or Hooper exit the door after such a positive start to the season..

I wouldn't be happy to see Surman leave per se, but I'd understand it. Ideally Bassong would have a personality transplant and realise his best chance of rehabilitating his reputation is pulling his socks up and getting us promoted, but I accept that's extremely unlikely and he's very expensive so also wouldn't be bothered if he went.

Becchio is the main one I actively want to go, unless Hooper gets sold (in which case we're in trouble anyway).

would hate to see hooper leave as we could never replace him with anyone of even similar quality now. bassong becchio surman leaving? fine with me. also personly,i have never been totaly convinced by redmond.i think murphy is a better option for the team,so if we got a good offer,i say sell him

I think we would be stupid to sell any of the main players of our squad now, and I would probably be more peeved with McNally and the board if they did sell compared to how long we kept CH in charge. It looks like Miguel and Keane could be coming in, if that is the only business were involved with tomorrow then I will be a happy person. Then it's on to get our butts back to the premier league.

Just read that Hatem Ben Arfa might be heading to Birmingham on loan as he's out of favour at the Toon. Very surprised he'd be prepared to drop down to the Championship - worth a cheeky nibble?

I always distrust accounts with "ITK" at the start of the name. If you have to claim to be in the know to give what you're saying any weight, then chances are you're clueless.

Cannot see us letting Hooper go for £6m on deadline day, unless he's pulled a Bassong and refusing to play.

If Nathan Redmond leaves Norwich today, we are hearing Neil Adams will bring Hatem Ben Arfa on loan #NUFC #NCFC

Is this forum where they're hearing this from??

Ha ha, if it is then we can ignore everything as I am definitely not in the know!

Be amazed if Hooper goes for £6m, particularly if they're talking about £8m for McGoldrick and £12m for Rhodes

"Sky Sports sources understand that there is no chance of Hatem Ben Arfa going on loan to Birmingham. The Newcastle attacker is reportedly attracting a lot of interest but he is not keen to play in the Championship."

Looks unlikely then, unless City might be more attractive to him.
