Swim, your mate Ze has shown up on my Liverpool allocation thread. I have told him where to go though
I'd play this; Dyer - Hernandez - Routledge -----------Michu---------------- Worked against West Brom! If Michu gets injured or needs a rest I'd definitely go with Moore, but as has already been said we've also got Schecter, Lamah, and Donnelly....which should be fine considering we've only got League games and a final to go. I think we'll sign a top striker early in the summer. I like how Laudrup keeps his cool.
I'm quite happy. We've survived the xfer window relatively intact. Danny-boy Vs Laudrup, no contest, it was inevitable. At least DG wont have far to stagger home now.
Looks like the ViKing tm will have get his old togs on and be our supersub/manager for the remainder! Seriously though I am concerned about the lack of business. If Michu stays fit then that's fine but if not we will be short of goals. Also we will now have to play Michu upfront all the time thus losing his ability to play AM if we need to mix it up a bit. we will be more one dimensional now. I thought we might at least get a loanee striker in and then buy someone like Aspas in the summer. Fingers crossed for Michu to stay fit. eeek.
Whoever we loan in wouldn't be much better if at all than anybody we already have on our books. Why add to the head count of mediocrity, much better to bide our time and get the right player.
Exactly. We've got Schecter & Moore to the end of the season & Michu if we want to play him up top. And I guess Lita back from loan (where's he gone? Sheff Wed?) if the worst comes to the worst. Mackie is a Championship quality striker - to panic buy him in would as you say just 'add to the head count of mediocrity' again - nice phrase! We are just a quality striker away from being a VERY good side. Wait to the summer and get someone in who can do the job. If we have the money to spend big it will be worth it. But not now.
We have free'd up wages and received ~5M for DG to go to the next forward - throw in another 5M and we're looking at a very good prospect from La Liga. Plus ML can now focus on developing Schecter and Moore - who knows what might flourish out of that - look at Routledge.
