OFFICIAL: Midfielder Samba Diakite has signed for #WatfordFC on loan for the rest of the season from QPR.

Think we still need a good striker - BJ and AJ are too fragile, Dellatorre unproven, and Doyle with an unisnspiring League 1 record, doesn't add up to a top 2 Championship team. Not one of these 4 has been scoring many goals for a while either.

Ain't that the truth, Oslo. We had all our eggs in one basket, and now the basket's upended. We haven't been a high scoring side, but Charlie's been brilliant and we were too dependent. With teams breathing down our necks, we need a replacement for him, I don't see we have it yet

I sense this being a very disappointing deadline day. We won't add a player of Charlie's quality, we'll add a higher quantity of occasional goalscorers.
Charlie has 45.5% of our goals so far...I really can't see Doyle & Dellatore cumulatively getting close to that.
Any chance his shoulder will be fit for the playoffs?

I do not think he is brilliant, but think he would be great to bring on in last 15 minutes of a game...the antithesis of our carthorses AJ and Zamora...a sort of miniature Jamie Mackie.
We are in a crisis (unless anyone has not noticed)....and with Doyle not yet fully confirmed, and the "other" striker who is sure to come "Messi, Ronaldo or Rhodes" not yet here...Tomorrow we have problems.

Tomorrow...start with a carthorse and bring on the whippet...but forget it, Arry agrees with you...he will not be here

I agree with Beth.

Whilst I concur that Tom has not had much first team run outs he has had plenty of game time. I just think Harry is biased towards "experienced" players and doesn't give young ones much of a chance.

After all, who had heard of Ings for Burnley before this season and look how he's turned out, same age as Hitchcock.

Look towards bringing youth through and build for long term.

Interestingly, I notice that Swansea have a policy of bringing young players through, they signed another 19year old today.

BREAKING: Republic of Ireland front-man Kevin Doyle joins #QPR on loan

Doyle: "The squad here have enjoyed a really positive first half of the season and everyone is looking forward to tomorrow." #WelcomeKevin

I assume that Doyle has signed too late to be involved tomorrow.....isn't it a 12 midday deadline?

And there we go - 'Arry Redknapp appears on a TV screen hanging out of a car window, and he brings news of a new striker for QPR.

Rangers have signed Kevin Doyle on loan from League One side Wolves until the end of the season.

"I like Kevin. He's a good pro and a good lad who needs to get his career up and running again," said Redknapp.

"He was a good player at Reading and my sides have played against him many times. This is a great opportunity for him. I like him a lot - he's a good player and a good person."

From beeb website..........good lad all round according to Harold.....

Dellatore was a Fernandes deal. Arry' saying he's never seen him play, and doesn't know if he's any good. Sounds like he's already distancing himself from the signing in the likelihood that it's a flop...
Dellatore's injured at the moment

Can't see the point in Doyle (hope I eat those words) but his stats are appalling while at Wolves 30 goals in 156 games! Definitely not prolific! Bit disconcerting?
