Promotion-chasing QPR are in pursuit of Manchester United starlet Will Keane. Harry Redknapp is desperate to bolster his attacking options after Charlie Austin suffered a dislocated shoulder and he is on the verge of clinching a loan deal for England Under-21 forward Keane. The 21-year-old, who has managed one senior appearance for United, spent time on loan at another Championship side, Wigan Athletic, earlier this season. I take it that the Icelandic lad from Ajax who was mentioned a week or so ago is now completely off the radar?
So that's 2 strikers - Dellatorre and Doyle in on loan and 2 defenders - Hughes on loan and Donaldson bought (though I don't expect him to feature this year). I think we can have as many loan players as we want but may be limited as to the number actually on the pitch at any one time. Hopefully someone at the club knows the rules.... That might be it.
No there is one more, I am sure...Doyle is the knee-jerk reaction for Austin...there is still the extra striker with pedigree (or Kane)
Transfer News: Queens Park Rangers line up a number of deals Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is hoping to tie up at least five deals on deadline day. The players Redknapp confirmed he wants are Atletico Paranaense forward Guillherme Dellatorre, Wolves' Kevin Doyle, Will Keane of Manchester United and Aaron Hughes from Fulham. He also has an interest in former Arsenal striker Eduardo, but he stated QPR had given up on Inter Milan's Ishak Belfodil. "We tried to get a lad from Inter Milan but that fell through," he said of Belfodil. He then confirmed that deals for Doyle and Hughes were done, with the duo arriving from Wolves and Fulham respectively. He was pleased to land Hughes, saying: "He's versatile. He can play centre-back or right-back and he's good enough to walk this division." On a prospective deal for Keane, he said: "We have been talking to him and we think we are quite close, a young player with fantastic potential." He was also happy to bring on board Dellatorre, and added: "He is a young player from Brazil. I would be a liar if I said I knew a lot about him but he has appeared on the radar and is probably one for the future, he may be now but he is here now and my scouts have seen him." He confirmed that Eduardo had been talked about and said: "He's a name we've been looking at. "He was mentioned to us and it's not gone any further than that. "At the moment there isn't a lot of time to do much else and we'll have to wait and see." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9142960/transfer-news-queens-park-rangers-line-up-a-number-of-deals
