If it means we get Lemar then it will be the best of a bad situation.

Sanchez clearly wants out. He's nearly 29 and in the last year of his contract.

Lemar would be a brilliant signing if we can pull it off.

I guess but when you see the cost of other players, sanchez at 55m + 5m seems CHEAP considering he is an elite player.

We've got a new Costa at chelsea. ZappaCOSTA.

No idea if he's any good, but if we're going to go for an unknown/bang average player i'd rather pay 20m rather than 40m for one

David Ornstein on BBC news now saying that Sanchez bid has been accepted on principle and Arsenal are going to bid £90m for Thomas Lemar

I'd rather that than keep Sanchez honestly but I can't see why Lemar would want to come to Arsenal at this point

Losing Sanchez will be a blow whatever way you look at it. But he's going to sign a pre-contract with City in Jan anyway and then go on a free. As much as I want him to stay, he's unsettled and wants out so we should sell him .... IF it means we can get Lemar.

£60m for Sanchez is cheap, but that's come about because of our board's ineptitude at letting his contract run down.

That's a bad bet mate, you were only going for him if you lost the Brazilian imo.

Yeah maybe but we have made an offer so I would expect us to follow that up. I'm expecting us to get him as a replacement for Coutinho if he is going to be allowed to go. We'll see.

Thomas Lemar has informed Monaco that he wants to move to Liverpool before the end of the transfer window, according to reports.

Liverpool remain in talks with the Ligue 1 champions and have already made a club-record £70 million offer.

But Goal claim that Lemar is pushing for a move to Anfield and has told Monaco chiefs about his desire to play under Jurgen Klopp

I think the players desire to play for us will be the deciding factor other than moving to a team flogging off their best players. <whistle>

Apparently he'd already agreed personal terms with Arsenal earlier in the window. If that's the case and we put in a £90m offer. Then we are in pole position to sign him.

In all honesty though who the **** knows what will happen ? This has been a crazy transfer window.
